BEST FILTER IVE BOUGHT. I wish they made larger ones (I hope the seller sees this review). I have 6 fish tanks (3 are smaller ones). I had bought 2 and they’ve kept the tanks clean. Even when I had to leave for 2 weeks, the tanks stayed clean-ish (I say ish, because a snail died in one and it became cloudy and bubbly….weird). The other tank was crystal clear while my larger tanks with bigger filters, the water turned orange. Why orange? I have no idea, my friends who were watching the fish were confused too.
The price is perfect for them. I am tempted to buy a whole bunch to use in one fish tank to replace the disposable filter ones 😂.

I was pleasantly surprised this filter works so well for my 3 gallon tank. I’m a light sleeper and was worried it would be too noisy to run all night in my bedroom but it’s not that bad, since I have a dehumidifier running in the background about 12 feet away, it provides a little white noise so it causes me to barely hear this filter. Without the dehumidifier on, the filter is a soft sound. My water is very clear. Would buy it again if I had to. It’s been running smoothly for almost 3 weeks now.

I liked the size and quiet operation. Unit did an adequate job of filtering wafter in 5 gallon tank. However, the unit developed a leak in the pump casing near the motor resulting in loss of about a gallon of water from the tank and a mess to clean up. Do not recommend buying.

Bought because it was cheap and would fit my at the time 1 gallon tank. Upgraded to a 2.5 gallon tank or something like that. Still works great, and was super quiet for the first several days. Decent flow for its size, all that. I came home from work today, and the thing was buzzing like hell. Still working, but noisy as hell. I removed the filter and cleaned it, and popped the pieces out to clean the pump and impeller as well. Reassembled, and is way quieter than it was when I came home, tolerable, but still much noisier than it was brand new. It’s only been a few days. Your mileage may vary. I’ll see what’s up, and if it gets worse, I’ll return it. I’ll let you know.
Edit: it quieted down once it stopped pulling air. Pretty easy to clean the filters. Run a bit of peroxide through it to sanitize it, then run it under the sink, shaking it, back-and-forth under the strain, as that seems to get it cleaner than anything. Then put it back together. worth what I paid.

This product has a lot of good reviews. This particular one I got did not work correctly. I don’t know if recieved a defective filter. There was no water flow. I followed instructions that was sent with it & I followed the how to videos about the product on Amazon. It sounded like rhe motor was running but there was just no flow of water. I immediately contacted Amazon who immediately sent return info.
