We’re really happy with this feeder for the price. It’s metal, sturdy, easy to fill and clean. The space from the feeding tray to the perch is a little small compared to some feeders, so it’s ideal for smaller birds like sparrows. However, black birds and other larger birds still manage to eat from the feeder while perching sideways. We use this feeder along with a one that has a larger space from the feeding tray to perch and the combo of the two works well. The seed distributing holes of this feeder are well sized for the mixed seed Wagners “eastern regional blend” or Pennington “premium select bird blend” we use. The drainage holes are also well proportioned, allowing water to drain well after rain. The lid is easy to lift for filling, but remains secure while the feeder is hanging. Overall, we’re really happy with the quality and functionality of this feeder and would definitely recommend it for those looking for a relatively inexpensive but sturdy feeder.

The birds love it, and so do I. It just went through a hurricane and the seeds never got wet. A great little garden visual!

Very easy to fill and clean, and the birds love it! Big enough for cardinals. Seed stays reasonably dry, I’ve only had a few issues after storms blew through and got the ones on the very bottom wet, but I don’t think that could be prevented. All in all, a great feeder!

Ich habe die Futterstation erst seit 1 Woche in Gebrauch, würde sie aber nicht mehr hergeben. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich natürlich noch nicht viel sagen. Aber vom Gebrauch super. Sie ist leicht zu befüllen und da passt endlich mal was rein. Wir hatten vorher Futterröhren die wir abgeschafft haben, da bereits 2 x ein Vögelchen den Kopf soweit darein gesteckt hat um an die letzten Körner zu kommen, dass leider einer dabei gestorben ist. Den anderen konnten wir noch retten. Das wird hier durch die kleinen Öffnungen nicht mehr passieren. Wir werden uns noch eine zweite anschaffen, da unsere Vögel unersättlich sind und wir ganzjährig füttern.

The feeder itself is great. Sturdy, nice looking, birds like it. I took one star off, as the holes on the feeder are small, so the sunflower seeds I put into it often get stuck and the birds can’t get the food. I’m sure this works great for seed mixes.

My visiting finches and smaller birds love this feeder. It has comfortable spots for them to perch and dispenses the goodies nicely. They love it … and that’s all that really matters! There’s room for everyone as they stay and eat for a while … and go. Sometimes it attracts a crowd but they all seem to get along fine. It’s also very easy to fill. And easy enough to clean. A few times, when I didn’t bring it inside, it made it through rain storms without getting too mucked up. This is a very popular stop in my garden … attracting the house and gold finches, indigo buntings, and wrens. It is sturdy and well made. It will last so the value for the money is there. I will buy more/again.

My main problem are Black Bears. Overnight, the bird feeders go in the garage. Mice are easier to handle. No longer have birdhouses. The bird feeder listed is very good. Use a wild, birdseed mix. Have the same type of feeder for smaller seeds, Nyger. Not a frequent target of Racoons or Black Bear. Very well thought behind the design.
