I bought this to try to attract some wild lovebirds to my back yard (we have some in Phoenix). It finally worked. But it also attracts a lot of other birds. I chose this one because it’s hard for the doves to use it because they are too big. But they’re pretty determined. It’s almost comical to watch. Mostly though they just wait on the ground for anything the other birds drop.
I have been seeing anywhere from 20-40 birds at a time around the feeder lately. Mostly doves and finches. But occasionally I’ll see quail, woodpeckers, thrashers, and now finally the lovebirds. I filled it yesterday at 8am. It was completely empty before 5pm. The doves and finches feed all day long, even in 105-100 degree heat. It’s crazy. I can’t afford to keep filling this thing every day.
The lovebirds only show up for about 5 minutes in the morning. I may have to start taking this feeder down after the early morning feeding frenzy and put it back up again after dark. I’m hoping the lovebirds will start nesting in my orange tree eventually. Fingers crossed!

Loved everything about this copper feeder! The birds were IMMEDIATELY attracted to this feeder. It’s perfect for smaller birds and with the numerous perches, several of them can snack at the same time. With a top that easily lifts up, it’s easy to re-fill with more seeds when needed. … and big birds struggle to get a grip. But if they are hungry enough they keep trying.
Unfortunately squirrels can still get access by hanging upside down and pulling seeds from the bottom openings. But not much deters those pesky creatures.

Wir haben bereits schon längere Zeit solche Modelle an Vogelfutterstationen, nur bisher nicht in transparent. Das ist nun unsere erste. Wir finden sie sehr schön, ansprechend und vom praktischen Nutzen her gibt es ja keinen Unterschied. Das Einzige, was wir befürchten, ist, dass die transparente Röhre im Laufe der Jahre verwittern wird, was verständlich ist.

First off, I never write reviews. However, I am new to bird feeders, bird feeding, bird watching etc. so I wanted to help first timers and/or anyone who may be on the fence about this feeder make a decision. I’ve been so happy with this bird feeder and I’ll share it in a lengthy review. If you DO NOT want to read it all; IN SHORT: This feeder is filled with black oil sunflower seeds and it is the go-to favorite for all birds on my feeder set up. It’s AMAZING.
I paired this feeder with the iBorn metal large roof and tray 6 port feeder, Kingsyard heavy duty mesh feeder, and winemana suet feeder. They all sit on a 4 shepherd hook pole system I bought off Etsy that has a squirrel guard baffle design. In saying this, I cannot comment on how it is against squirrels, as I do not have squirrels able to get on these feeders.
Anywho, I live in West Michigan. I have never had bird feeders before but I live where birds are abundant and in a wide variety. I filled this, and the other iBorn feeder with Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, the mesh with safflower seeds, and the suet with Wild Berry suet. I was told it could take weeks or more for birds to find the feeders. I’d rush home from work to check if any activity was happening. Being the not so patient person I am, after two days I was getting worried when no birds showed up yet. By day 3 upon seeing this iBorn 4 port copper finished feeder half empty I was elated! Hopes were cautiously optimistic when the other feeders did not seem touched. I was curious if a squirrel had gotten on the feeder. All worry was put to rest upon finally seeing my first birds in the evening when two chickadees would alternate perching and quickly fly away. The feeder has been found, and now I was hoping word would spread!
By day 4 I was beginning to think I’d be eaten out of house and home. This feeder gets all the attention and has to be refilled daily. Sure the birds check out and use the other feeders; (black oil sunflower seeds), but this is the GO TO feeder for the birds at my house. As stated before I am no bird expert. I’ve only had them up for a 6 days now, but I’m wondering if I made a mistake? Am I going to put the area I live in out of stock on black oil sunflowers? This iBorn feeder has to be refilled daily. The other iBorn feeder gets the brunt as well but lasts a little longer. Safflower seeds aren’t as welcomed as the sunflower seeds are. The woodpeckers love the Suet Songbird Very Berry Cake.
All in all my experience has been terrific. The product is very well made, very nice to look at, and very easy to use. I get to view the bird party when not at work, and it brings me back to when my mom would always have bird feeders up as a kid growing up. Unlike her constant fight against squirrels, they seem to stay on the ground for me. I hope this post helps anyone looking to buy this feeder and get into bird feeding, and I thank you for your time.

This birdfeeder is very good for the price. Birds seem to like it and it has not been broken or raided by squirrels. It’s easy to fill and clean.

Would recommend for small birds only, cardinals can’t fit on perches. Squirrels seem to knock the food out to the ground.
