I have to say, this is a remarkably simple yet fun handheld game. As a father, I like that it kind of harkens me back to a simpler day when handheld games had conceptually simple goals that leaned on things like memory, focus and quickness rather than getting sucked into an immersive world to explore. Not to knock modern games either… those immersive games are impressive, and they are popular for a reason. But for young children, I really do not want them glued to a screen… this allows them the fun of a handheld gaming device, without needing to stare at a screen at the same time.
As I said, the games are conceptually simple, but that does not make them simple to beat. Once you add speed or extensive patterns to the games, it becomes quite complicated. My daughter is 5 and she has had trouble with the games, and yet… every time she plays she gets a little better… and that is the beauty. She is using her memory, she is tracking patterns, she is focusing on her task to follow better… all of these are valuable skills.
Do not think that because it is designed for kids that these are simple games for grown ups. Even as an adult, the DDR and memory games can get pretty tricky. That means that this will not be grown out of quickly or easily. All these things considered, I think this is a fun and unique gift that can be surprisingly addictive. I would recommend!

This keeps my very hyper 6 year old entertained for a while. It’s fun! I even play it lol. Great buy! Just wish it was a bit quieter. Even on the lowest volume setting, it’s loud. But, it keeps him off the TV and tablet so I’m happy.
