Totally my fault, I have three cats, and I thought this would be large enough and it isn’t. I like the concept of it all, but I definitely need a larger one than this, but it did help the letter from the floor. I should’ve checked the size.

I should have paid more attention to the measurements in the description. While this is a nice, sturdy litter box, it is by no means large. It is average size as most.

This review is for the Shielded Litter Pan. Hopefully I am not opening my mouth too soon, but I bought this because my cat always manages to get pee outside the box (even though we have been using a litter box with a cover). The lid on the old box does not seem to fit correctly. This new litter box should not have that problem since the top is overlapping the bottom (if that makes sense).- the top does not just rest on the bottom. I usually put a wee-wee pad under the box, and it is always wet. I’ve been using this for 2 weeks already – and so far the wee-wee pads are clean! I have 2 normal size cats (not small but not huge) and they don’t seem to have a problem with it. For us, it is a perfect size – it is in a small Powder Room so needless to say, we are limited in space – this fits perfectly next to the toilet.
**Just an update- I bought a 2nd one and was surprised to find pee on the wee wee pad. But I am pretty sure it was because I did not have the top on properly- just make sure you twist to the right and it feels tight. Since then no other problems- so hopefully I will eventually feel secure enough to remove the wee-wee pads!! SO MUCH BETTER than the older on – we had pee outside the box ALL THE TIME. So far with this box we have saved money just on those pads!!!

These suck! They don’t stay on the inside of the litter box at all. Won’t be buying these again! I made sure the litter box was clean and dry so there’s no reason why they wouldn’t stay put! –

UPDATE: I have recently switched back to regular clay litter because I learned how crystal litter does not break down and can also cause respiratory issues. Even with clay litter, the scooper is not too small. If you clean your litter box twice or more a day, waste doesn’t build up into massive chunks. Just saying …
I was looking for a high back litterbox that wasn’t ugly. This box has a cute almost retro look to it. The top and bottom fit together no problem and I have not had any leaks so far. Yes, the scooper is small but if you use crystal litter (or similar) you won’t have an issue with it being too small. The litterbox is just the right size for my 10 pound cat (she is 2 years old and naturally petite). She took to the box right away. I am happy with this item and would purchase it again if I had to.

Due to living in a very small Apt. I need to keep the litter box for my female cat in the shower with a special mat under it to catch the dry litter tossed out by her little paws. This one is so pretty and so easy to clean the litter box because the sides are wonderfully slippery. And when guests come over and see it in my shower they say how pretty it matches the white walls and shower. Seems silly but if one has to see it sitting in my shower, at least it’s very pretty and clean looking and easy to keep clean.

I love this box! The area is so much cleaner as it contains the litter my cat loves to spray around. My only complaint is that the rim doesn’t fit perfectly onto the base. If you fit it on one side, the other side pops up a bit. Despite this, I still feel it’s worth the money. Note that I have a large 15lb cat and he uses it easily.

Bought this for my exhuberant cat who likes to distribute litter everywhere but also stare at you while he poops. Amazon thought I might like it because it was black and shiny. They were right. It looks weirdly great in the bathroom. Anyway.. What I don’t like about it is, as far as I can tell, the top doesn’t lock on to the bottom like most cat boxes. It just kind of sits on the base like a unstable space craft. Otherwise, it is exactly as advertised. Black, shiny and comes with a tiny red poop scoop.
