I live in an upper level condo and some window exits are a far way down. Have a two story fire escape ladder, but I recently realized that I would no longer be able to carry my cats down since they are now full grown and weigh 12lbs each. I needed a bigger bag/carrier to get them down safety in case of an emergency. The bag is well made and the rope is plenty long enough. I tested it out to see if my two cats would fit and hold up inside the bag. The bag holds up fine with two 12lb adult cats in it. The only downside is that the opening is slightly small so it took a few seconds to get both of them in it….but overall provides some peace of mind knowing I can get them down safely too.

Perfect item ! I feel more comfortable about being able to get my dog out if there was ever an issue that I would need to get out of my condo in a hurry . That was always my worry ! I can use my ladder ; but, how was I going to get my dog out ! I always thought I would wrap him in a sheet and lower him out first in hopes he would get out on the way down ! However now with this escape carrier he will be safe ! It’s good and strong and not too heavy to lift him out ! So glad I found this ! Thanks Amazon for having this company! Solved my problem !

Fits my heavy Olde English Bulldogge in this and it came with the safety rope, so very happy with that! I would say however that there is sadly no attachment on the bag for the safety rope to securely attach to. It would need to be attached to the handle straps. Overall happy though! Feel better knowing there is a further safety precaution on place for my fur baby for the worst case scenario

I live in a three-story house. The primary bedroom is on the top floor. I have an 80 pound dog, a 13 pound cat, and a 45 pound child. While we have an escape ladder for the adults, this is incredibly handy to have for the pets and our son. Thankfully, we’ve not had to use it, but we have practiced with it. I can tell you it will certainly hold our 80 lbs dog with some room to spare. I don’t know that my six year old could climb down the ladder safely, but we could definitely lower him down in this. It’s an excellent purchase for peace of mind. Hopefully you never need it, but it’s a real lifesaver if you do.

Seems to be made of sturdy nylon. Straps are 2 separate ones on top (where you latch the rope) w/ backpack type straps on the back. Pic on Amazon showed just one top strap.
Bought a medium for my corgi mix. Too small for her to stand in, plenty of head room. Will have to return for a large.

As a firefighter I recommend this device to lower your children or your pets down from a second story or 3rd story if you have time and the conditions are correct for this evacuation Practice a safe home evacuation plan

The selling point for me was that I could wear the dog if I had to go down the ladder during a fire. It wasn’t hugely expensive, large enough for her to fit for a short time, and potentially life-saving.
