One drawer has a nail not completely recessed into the wood. Just needs slightly better quality control

Freaking amazing! This is a favorite of all ages. Bought this as a Christmas gift for my guy, but gave it to him early because the box it shipped in is the box it comes in, name and image of what’s inside clear as day. I would have liked a warning on that.
Aside from that slip up, this thing is awesome! It’s a bit cumbersome to move alone if you are a smaller human, but totally doable. It has a nice lip on 2 of the 4 sides to hold the puzzle in place. The drawers don’t glide because they aren’t mounted on a rail, they move in and out easily without sticking and have a magnet to help hold them in place. I’m not saying shake this thing and spin it from the ceiling fan to test that, I’m saying they aren’t going to flop out when you move it. The drawers are quite sturdy and have plenty of room for the pieces to lay single layer in them.
Moving it… easy. You pick it up and it can go under a couch, bed, on a counter, on top of the washer, endless areas to get it out of the way. You can’t push it to slide it across the table, you need to lift it a little.
It has a nice clean smell to it. It isn’t lacquered on top and it isn’t finished all beautifully, but it isn’t intended to be furniture.
Easily fits 1000 pieces. I’m thrilled with this purchase, as is the man, kids of all ages have remarked how awesome this is.

I like this puzzle table as it makes my puzzle making a joy every time. Pieces are smartly tucked away, secure from my cat… lol.. and this table is a beautiful piece of workmanship.
The only thing negative is that I find it heavy to move around once I am done but that would apply for any board as they are heavy wood tables. Overall size is good for me though, as it is in the middle as far as size is concerned.

I like it because I can store my puzzle pieces in it without having to put the pieces away every time I can’t finish putting the puzzle together. I don’t always have the time to finish a puzzle in one sitting so this helps so much!

I like to have a puzzle going on the coffee table in my “formal” living room. These are often puzzles that will be framed for my own use or as a gift for one of the puzzlers (grandkids).
Had been using one of those boards you can put in a case to save or transport. It was sized for a 1500 piece puzzle. Even though it was bigger than the coffee table, the big size came in handy as it was used as a supplemental project space when grandkids were here for remote school. But now, reclaiming some of the dignity (?) of the room, i wanted something a little more style consistent. Sister who gave me the first one asked if id looked @ wooden ones. Aha!

I picked this one mostly because it came close to matching the coffee table—and 1000 pieces are upper limit of what kids enjoy @ this point.

Was so happy when i realized that only two of the edges are raised and you can slide a completed puzzle off for framing.

Working a rather challenging puzzle of the Chesapeake bay now and using trays for sorting. Also used them to sort a couple of easier parts for grandkids to work on at Superbowl party. Could give a tray to each of them and they could take them to where they wanted to work.

If i need to clear the table this is easily moved. i was originally looking for a board with a cover. Of course if you want to use the table for coffee or anything else youd want to move the puzzle anyway since you wouldnt want to risk spills. In fact a cover would probably just tempt people to put things on it.

I did spill liquid on an important puzzle once causing several pieces to fall apart into their layers of paper and cardboard. That gave me the “opportunity” to solve the puzzle of carefully drying and matching the layers of about 8 pieces and gluing them together. All ended well but i don’t recommend this exercise.

I rated this three stars on “giftable” only because you might not be able to predict the size (depends on #pieces in puzzles to be worked AND table size) and color that would work best for someone else. This would be a bulky item to return.

Gave this to my 88 year old Dad who enjoys doing puzzles. He normally uses a card table but doesn’t have much room to spread out pieces. We used it for 3 puzzles the family worked on over the holidays. This is a sturdy board that arrived well packaged, yet it’s lightweight enough to maneuver. The drawers were awesome, in that they not only help in sorting and storage of pieces, but they serve as trays to easily pass pieces around for people to look at when multiple people are working on a puzzle. They are lightweight, but sturdy, and slide easily in and out of their slots. No more swapping chairs with people when people need to look for puzzle pieces that typically would have been laid out on a table. There’s a small magnet at the back of the drawer to keep drawers from sliding out—preventing the spill of pieces if you need to move the board. We always take pics of the puzzles we complete, and the team that worked on it; the board works well to elevate the puzzle for better picture taking. It also stores easily under many sofas that have a couple inches of clearance above the floor.

    The good:
    – Makes a puzzle very portable for those of us that like to stretch the puzzling out over the week or month.
    – Much easier to rotate the board rather than walk around the table)
    – Nice and sturdy, good area for a large puzzle. The edges are nice to keep things lined up.
    – Has a nice, simple aesthetic.
    – The drawers have a nice magnetic locking mechanism, no worries about them sliding out.

    The not-so-good:
    – Limited sorting space: I was really looking for a piece that would allow me to sort pieces in the drawers without much overlap, however, I found this was not the case. I left the edge pieces on the surface, and tried to sort by section of the puzzle (conveniently four different sections to correspond to the drawers). Things were going well, but pretty soon I had covered the four drawers’ area with the pieces and still had about 50 pieces left with nowhere to go. I resorted to piling them on top of the existing layers of pieces in the drawers, but this was a bit unsatisfactory when looking for pieces.
    – Edges are a liiiiiittle sharp. Not too bad but not elbow-friendly.
    – Drawers can be a little finnicky, just have to wiggle them a little.

We enjoy having it on the coffee table. Everyone can add pieces when they feel like it. Easy to put away if the space is needed. No assembly was required.
