I have had this unit for a couple of weeks now and have had no problems with it. In many of the other reviews people have mentioned that the plastic on the holder has broken on them. Knowing this, I looked at it carefully before I installed it. What I believe is happing is that where the light itself is seemed together there is a small gap. This catches the the clasp when it is being pushed back into the holder and it hangs up not letting the light clamp into place. People push harder trying to get it to go in and BAM! it breaks. Look at the light and the holder before installing this unit and try and understand what I am talking about. It will help to avoid breaking the holder. My only complaint is that I wish the on sequence was different. I would prefer that the rectangle shaped light would come on at the first push of the button but that is just a preference . UPDATE: It breaks! I dont care how gentle you are or careful inserting it into the bracket, the bracket is trash. Light works great though.

Put this light in the cage on my Maverick Trail to find all those things dropped in the dark. Straps right to the cage and is removable from it’s cradle if you need an extra flashlight. Good value, good quality.
