I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I’m an adult beginner to violin, doing a mix of self teaching books, YouTube lessons, and the aid of an Online instructor. I just want to learn to play the violin for myself; always wanted to learn, no budding virtuoso or anything here.
I had previously bought a very cheap violin bundle, and now that I’ve decided to continue learning, I realized I needed something a bit better than the tinny sounding violin I had. I wish I had started with this violin! It is easy to work with, stays in tune, and sounds great!! I think this will do me just fine for a few years as I progress. This is a great violin for the first few years for a beginner!

My son has been playing violin for three years and I realized that while he is going up in size, I was spending far too much money renting his violin. I did some research online and found this. I was nervous because his teacher is very picky about violins being a certain way and sounding a certain way. She said this was a great student violin. I am glad. She looked over the whole violin and had a few small complaints, but nothing major. I am saving money and have a younger son who hopefully will use this one when my older son outgrows this too and needs to go up a size. It sounds good. He’s been using it for a few weeks now and we don’t have complaints. It came with so much too! I am glad that I just signed up for the lifetime warranty too. Nice!

They are very reliable makers I can say that by their beautiful product. A lot of care has gone into making it perfect with the velvet lined box and the great violin, i am a beginner at it and i started using the bow as soon as i got my hands onto it and the sound was deep and not at all scratchy even for a beginner like me.
I mailed them that they had missed the rosin and the wiping cloth and there was an instant response from the company that they would replace it. I had checked the boxes that had arrived and could not find the rosin. However, the next day i found the rosin in a receptacle inside the violin case that had a small flap to pull. I informed the maker that i had found it but he said that i could keep the rosin as an extra cos it had already been sent out. So the service has been very prompt and they have been kind in their responses.
So i would suggest that you check the receptacle inside the case and not just the accessory box for all the things they pack away with it. I had read of rosins missing in their previous reviews, so i guess that also added to my bias and subsequent overlooking of the receptacle. Hope you find ur rosin 🙂

After countless hours of research, finally my hard work paid off! First, I shopped locally only to find very cheap violins that were very expensive. One shop even wanted to sell me an old rental for the same price I paid here and it didn’t even have strings on it. I am extremely happy I bought from Kennedy Violins. I purchased the RICHARD BUNNEL G1 VIOLIN OUTFIT SIZE 3/4. Gorgeous instrument, sounds amazing, as promised came with lots of extras, chin guard tuner, books etc. The case is wow too! I will defiantly be back when my son graduates to the full size. I originally was going to buy on the of $250 Kennedy Violins but I am so glad I spent the extra $100 and bought the G1. It is a hand oiled finish, gorgeous! Oh and our teacher was shocked we found such a beautiful instrument on line. He was impressed too.

Now I don’t know anything about violins, I bought this for my wife who’s always wanted to learn to play.
I’ve played guitar for 50 plus years and after receiving this I was very impressed with the quality of the instrument and the case. The packaging was excellent too, sent inside case and then boxed. The finish is beautiful satin and not a mark on it.
The only thing I would suggest to the company is to ship it in a box that doesn’t say violin on the outside for those of us who buy gifts as a surprise!

This was really nice, but, alas, my child did not take to the lessons. I put it back in case she wants to try again in a couple years. It should fit her still, as she is small. The only thing is it was supposed to come with a free online lesson, but the company never answered my email to schedule it.
