This is my 2nd KitchenAid Stand Mixer. The first one I received as a wedding gift 30 years ago is still working, but it’s starting the struggle a bit when mixing heavy dough. So, it was time for a new one. This one is also built like a tank and is made to last for another 30 years. I think it’s going to outlast me!

For starters, the matte black finish is stunning. It goes perfectly with my kitchen decor. It just screams professional mixer. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill cheap off-brand mixer for less than a hundred bucks. The finish is flawless.

I must say, this thing is VERY HEAVY! So be careful when taking it out of the box and lifting it onto your counter. Being heavy is a good thing because when you’re mixing dough, you don’t want the mixer wobbling around. It must remain solid on your countertop.

Do you like accessories? Then this is the mixer you need to buy. Forget about the rest. KitchenAid mixers have every attachment you can imagine, from decorative bowls to all types of beaters. They even have ice shavers to make homemade ice!

I bake often, so I’ll be using this blender 2 to 3 times per week. I just love KitchenAid mixers. Over the years, I’ve convinced so many friends and family members to splurge and buy the best mixer on the market. They’re not cheap by any means but they’re worth every penny! 5-Stars!!!

I like the color it goes with my kitchen decor. I needed a bigger one for Christmas time. I’m hoping this one will be big enough for my recipes.

The media could not be loaded.

This mixer is replacing my 20 year old smaller stand mixer that I used for making cinnamon rolls (frequent request!), bread, cakes, frosting, and cookie dough. As soon as I got it set up and tested the 10 1/2 speeds (love the 1/2 speed for running while adding ingredients in to incorporate slowly into one another), the excitement began to build and I felt as though I had just graduated from novice to professional.

There is much to love about this mixer: from the 7 qt capacity, the 500 watt motor that provides a faster, more powerful and stable mixing experience, the 11 wire stainless steel whip that appears to lose the elliptical shape as the speed increases to full power (as seen in the video) will handle any whipping job with ease, the double flex edge beater that is designed in such a way that the fins turn out at the edge to make for better contact to grab everything (as seen in the 3rd photo), the coated spiral dough hook and flat beater, to the very handy pouring shield. The availability of this mixer to add on additional attachments making it more than capable of becoming your kitchen prep hub. I plan to check to see if smaller capacity bowls can also be used for added options. The mixer is cast iron and as such, is heavy coming in at just under 32 pounds so, be sure to find your preferred spot to make it a permanent fixture. The cast iron also provides for an easy cleaning surface for any splatters that do manage to get away from the bowl if they do! The attachments, outside of the wire whisk are all powder coated while the bowl and wire whisk being stainless steel, are easy to clean up. While all but the wire whisk can be cleaned in the dishwasher, I will be hand washing always. The mixer is not overly loud for the amount of power the 500 watts provides and is certainly quieter than other appliances I use.

After getting it set up, testing out the speeds and all of the attachments, I was not sure what I would make first, but now I know I need to make my cinnamon roll dough as my inauguration to compare with previous experience in my old mixer. This mixer is a fantastic option as a gift for yourself or for anyone who is looking for a step up or is an avid baker whether it be large or small batch – and while you don’t have to be a pro to use this, you are sure to feel like one when you do and will be inspired every time.

Took forever to deliver but finally got it after almost three weeks. The product itself is great but there’s few scrathes here and there, it doesn’t affect anything but kinda disappointing .. Otherwise, great product.

I had an older KitchenAid 5qt stand mixer that has served me well for over a decade, but I wanted a bigger one that had an adjustable bowl. This 7qt mixer is exactly what I was looking for, and I love the cast iron black color! It has a matte finish instead of a glossy one, which I think makes the mixer look even sleeker and more upscale. It works with all my existing KitchenAid attachments, so I don’t need to invest in anything new. I’ve already made a few loaves of bread and ground up meat using this machine and it’s been awesome!

I expect this mixer will last many decades as well. My older mixer still works as well as the day I received it as a present, and I’m going to be gifting it to a friend who doesn’t have one yet. Yes, these stand mixers are expensive but think of them as an investment rather than a spontaneous purchase. These are sturdy, high quality, and will last a lifetime! I have no complaints about this mixer. It is heavy, but you shouldn’t have to lift or move it once it’s set up on the counter. You can just slide it back and forth on the countertop, which takes much less muscle and strength than lifting it to the counter each time you want to use it. Take that advice from someone who used to store it in a cupboard and had to lift it to the counter each time to use it; the mixer got a lot less use because it was so inconvenient to move it.

I definitely recommend this mixer! It would make a great gift for anyone that loves to bake as well.

This mixer could not handle a batch and a half of cookie dough. It froze up. I bought it assuming it had the horsepower to do the job. My KA 5 quart handles the full batch pretty well. She groans but gets it done. Sooooo disappointed.

Bought the mixer for my wife and she loves it. She bakes cakes and cookies from home as a side business.

So disappointed in both KitchenAid and Amazon. The bowl’s pins did not align so the bowl could not sit on the stand. So… clearly defective. The packaging looked broken9 Styrofoam had already been handled). So… clearly returned for the same reason as above. Very heavy item. Getting on my countertop took a lot of effort. Now I have to schlep it to UPS. Seriously? I thought I was buying a gift to myself. Pretty sad actually.

I upgraded to this mixer from my 4qt one. What a difference! I can have 9 cups of flour plus other ingredients to make bread and the motor handles it perfectly. Will be selling my old one.
