The pegs on these locking tuners are very short compared to my gibson Sg. So their is a sharper break over the nut to these tuners. Nuts that screw onto the top of the peg and washers look cheaply made and not polished or beveled like the original gibson. But locking tuners work fine. Easy setup.

Compared to the original vintage Gibson deluxe pearloid tuners, it was like night and day. I highly recommend investigating their purchase, if your patience is running thin. But as you might expect, they are heavier than the stock tuners and could lead to neck dive on a guitar like the Gibson SG. The switch is easy and is reversible if you decide to sell your guitar. They also are of fantastic quality and look great that maintains the vintage vibe.

Not much has to be said about Kluson machine heads, their quality is well established, but i was not familiar with the locking version. I am now a huge fan. I ordered them for my 2000 Gibson LP 1960s Classic WHICH THEY WILL NOT WORK ON….. but I have a 89 MIK Sheraton that they were perfect for. It made such a difference in the looks and function that I’m glad they didn’t work on the LP (which already has Gibson’s version of them, only not the locking variety). It gave that old Sheraton a very noticable facelift that I didn’t expect. A $100 item gave it $500 worth of appeal. As far as function and serviceability they’re everything Kluson machine heads should be. Perfect ratio, smooth movement, and they make string changes SOOOOOO much easier. No slippage or string movement. I can’t recommend them enough.

With being locking and a better gear ratio, these tuners were definitely an upgrade on my Les Paul. They fit perfectly, easy to install, and look great. String changing has also become easier as you will not have to wind your strings. My guitar stays in tune better as well. Definitely a n upgrade worth the money

I have tried the other brands that fall in the $30-40 range, I actually have some on my SG that I’m here to replace with these Klusons because I recently put these on my Heritage H-150, which is a recent addition that I love, it’s my number one, the tuning machines on it are fantastic but not lockers and I love having this feature with how often I change strings! I didn’t want to put low quality off brand tuners on it, so I choose Kluson because of the name alone. I’m so happy I did, they are amazing! Totally worth the money! You’re not just buying the name.
No matter the string size and amount of tension they turn with the same resistance.
They are very well built, polish to a nice shine and appearance and show well!
The holes for mounting line up with Grover so if you’re replacing you won’t have to drill unless you want to use both holes (I opt to use just one hole)
Welp, I’m gonna go throw these in my cart and get em today yet!
Hope this help you guys if you were on the fence 🙂

Purchased for my 2002 Gibson Les Paul Special. They were easy to install, and fit perfectly. They hold tune well, and make fine tuning adjustments easy with their 19:1 ratio. I just ordered another set for a different guitar, which will be the third with these tuners. I couldn’t be more pleased with them.

I just installed a set of Kluson Revolution 3X3 Locking Tuners, Keystone Buttons – NICKEL on my PRS 594 SE. These are a wonderful upgrade to the stock tuners both in looks and in function. The stock PRS tuners were a weak point of this model of PRS. The Kluson’s fixed this without too much effort. Drilling is required to make the stock tuner holes slightly larger. Be sure to use a new sharp drill bit for best precision. I used the stock screws that came with guitar because the Kluson screws are thinner. I found the nickel finish to look the best on this model.
