My dogs go through Nylabones like a monster truck goes through gas! As I was placing my monthly order for new Nylabones, I saw this and decided to give it a try. Gave it to them last night, along with a couple of other new toys for tough chewers, and this one is by far their favorite! I guess I’m going to need to order a couple more so they stop stealing it from each other – although it doesn’t matter if they have a dozen of the exact same toy, they only want the one somebody else already has! 🙄
The bone seems to be extremely durable and although it does show signs of being chewed on, there’s no significant wear on it after a full day. Unlike some reviews, I haven’t noticed a smell, so maybe that’s just a particular flavor that smells strongly? I got the beef, in case anyone is curious.
This is a pretty large toy and has some weight to it. I don’t think I want to find out what it feels like if dropped on my bare foot! Stepping on it in the middle of the night probably wouldn’t be fun either. Or if you have a dog that likes to drop toys on your head/face to wake you up, you might want to avoid this one, or maybe see if Amazon offers a comfortable hockey helmet suitable for sleeping in (be sure to get the full facemask!).
I highly recommend this for medium to large dogs that love Nylabones. I’m definitely going to order another one, but I’ll probably get a different flavor for the dogs to try.

This is only chew bone that I get for a friends 67lb. Pit Bull. She Loves this bone and I got her another one. They gave it to her but she still prefers her 2 month old one!! Same exact bone and flavor. When she has to go in her crate…(mainly when no one is home) she takes this with her. Otherwise she would chew up everything. Even furniture. Great value, VERY durable for aggressive chewers. Even when nothing else works out!! 2 months and still loving her FIRST one!!!

I have a 2yr old english bulldog that went through this pretty quick. It was a solid couple days. This toy crumbles and will break off in tiny pieces. My dog knows not to swallow these pieces, as he chews and spits them out. But I can see this being a huge issue if a dog is swallowing these pieces. For the price, durability, and potential danger of consuming these small bits (regardless if it’s digestible), I will pass on this. For smaller dogs, this would probably work just fine.

This looks awkward but our dog absolutely loves it! He oftentimes carries it around various rooms, stopping to have a chew break. This bone may look strange, but our German Shepherd has found a long lasting, chewable, ideal shaped bone that tastes like bacon!

I have a female lab pup that’s 7 Mos old who is a very active, aggressive chewer. She likes this one and it’s lasting a good long time. It’s well made and durable and I feel it’s safe! Except when she’s dropped it on my bare foot… Yikes! Lol

Great for dogs like mine that destroy everything. This toy has lasted, its hard so cant throw it or anything but great for tough chewers to lay down with it and keep them busy.

Finally a bone my 10- month old pit doesn’t destroy in an hour. Very durable and he enjoys playing fetch with it. Do be CAREFUL because it’s heavy. I slide it in the house to avoid damaging anything

I have a GSD and Mal and they have had these for about 8 months now and they look almost new still. They are very durable and definitely worth the money!
