Glad I bought it! It’s a powerful little workhorse that makes the perfect individual smoothie. LOVE getting my fruit and veggies in daily. Will be Christmas presents for other family members.

It’s an awful and weak device. I don’t recommend it. After 2 months , the little part of the bottle which helps for spinning, has broken. I contact Amazon3 times, they told me the brand would contact me which they didn’t!! I Emailed them directly twice, they still didn’t contact me. Don’t waste your money!!!

UPDATE: I’ve had this for almost 2 years now, using it 3-4 times per week for a breakfast smoothie. I’ve had no issues with it at all, however I thought I’d try something with more power in case I wanted to make a frozen drink, so I decided to order a Ninja BN301 Nutriblender for $60. Here are the differences:
This blender is 300w, the Ninja is 600w
This blender makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds, the Ninja makes a smoothie in 15-20 seconds.
This blender’s blades aren’t as sharp at the Ninja blade, but the difference in the end product is barely noticeable.
This blender has the threads for screwing on the cutter blades and cap on the outside, like a normal jar. The Ninja has the threads on the inside, causing them to get filled with smoothie when removing the cutting blades and attaching the pour or storage cap. Why would they design it that way?
The one and only improvement of the Ninja over this blender is the hole size of the pour spout is about three times larger.
I’m sending the Ninja BN301 back.
I have a big Cuisinart blender which I rarely use because it’s too much of a hassle for most of my needs.
I was going to purchase the Hamilton Beach personal blender, but with 175 watts, it seemed a bit too light duty. This unit with 300 watts seemed a bit more appropriate.
First, let me state that I own the above big blender, a Cuisinart food processor and a Cuisinart immersion blender. I bought the LaReveuse Smoothies Blender just for that purpose, smoothies.
Secondly, let me address some comments made by other users:
1. Tab(s) breaking off. The jar has three tabs (lugs) that allow the jar to lock in place on the motor base. I have no idea how you break one of these off. Really, given the stoutness of the material and the location of the lugs, I really can’t fathom how you could break one off. Even if you did break one or more tabs off, they sell replacement jars, lids and blades on Amazon.
2. To address the comment of another reviewer, the locking tabs (lugs) not only lock the jar into place, they are part of the “switch” for the motor. The motor base does not have a visible switch. Align the locking tabs (lugs) with the slots on the motor base and push down for momentary on. Ease up on the pressure and the …motor turns off. If you want the motor to stay on (no more than 1 minute per the manufacturer), simply push down, give the jar a slight clockwise turn and Voila, it stays on. To turn of, simply turn the jar a slight turn counter clockwise. So if you don’t want the motor turning on when you plug the unit in place, don’t lock the jar on the motor. Pretty simple.
3. Addressing the comment that the jar is too flexible. Really? …REALLY? No it isn’t as firm as a glass jar (won’t break like glass either), but it isn’t a plastic bag either. It has a SLIGHT flex if you really squeeze it. If you handle it like I think most people will, you won’t notice any flex at all.
Okay, enough of all that, how well does it work? As said, I bought this to make smoothies. My typical smoothie consists of something like the following: 1 peach (skin on), 1/2 banana, big handful of blueberries, 1 individual serving cup (5.3 oz) of yogurt (plain or some fruit flavored) and maybe 1/4 to 1/3 cup of low-fat milk. Toss all that in, screw on the blade cap, set the jar on the motor base and gently press down. I pulse it a few times (2-3 seconds per pulse, just like you would a full size blender), then I leave it on for about 10-15 seconds. DONE!
That’s it, and for 20 bucks, how could anyone possibly complain?

I bought this blender for my daily kitchen needs and although the reviews were all good I wanted to give it a try- Really good decision made! Been using it for a couple weeks now and I haven’t seen any issues with it as yet so I give anyone looking for a easy and affordable blender for ur smoothies, shakes and for bedding spices use this one. You will not regret it.

Use it to blend Watford and water, no issues, not loud or difficult to use.

Aug. 15, 2024 update pertaining to the black and silver version mentioned in my original review below: About two weeks have passed since I wrote my original review. A few days ago, the blade’s seal began failing; my smoothies began to leak through to the exterior of the screw-on blade attachment. Then yesterday, while I was blending another smoothie, the blender stopped on its own; one of the three plastic prongs extending from the bottle had broken off during blending, and another one had broken but was still attached. Hopefully I can get my money back.
I bought a black silver one for me, to replace old and worn-out Magic Bullet, and a pink one for my daughter, for her birthday. We like the colors. Having used mine almost daily for about one month, I find:
🙂 The motor is strong enough thus far to blend ice and frozen fruits into my smoothies.
🙂 Overall, it’s compact and convenient to use and store.
🙁 The bottle is too narrow to wash easily, even with my small hands.
🙁 The cap is unusually hard for me to open. I do not overtighten it, but it’s extremely difficult to unscrew.
🙁 The rubber-plastic stopper on the cap popped apart this week, with no mishandling on my part. I found the two parts, but snapping them back together isn’t a permanent solution; it sometimes pops apart again upon me opening it.

Got this on prime day for about 23 dollars and it is worth the price! The material is plastic but gets the job done well. I’ve made some drinks with it and it is done in seconds! I plan to bring this to college with me. It’s about as loud as any blender but it’s fast enough that your beverage will be done before annoying others.

I have owned and used a Magic Bullet, Nutri Bullet and one of those cheesy things from Showcase (don’t ever buy one of those!) and this is the best. It works well, the cup is a good size – it holds more than most and it also has a drinking lid and a little carrying loop with it. I really like it and it more than serves the purpose. Good construction and great deal for the price!

The blender itself is pretty good. Just be sure not to use it for more than one minute at a time, or else it will start to give off a smell. The major downside is the poor quality cup. Any hot beverage or dishwasher use will cause it to deform and be no longer usable. There is no substitute cup available out there, and the company never has replacement cups in stock, ever!! Just spend an extra few bucks to get one with a dishwasher safe cup.

The blender is super easy to use and good to have for quick protein smoothies and such for work. It only has one setting when you push down the cup to blend, but that doesn’t really bother me because I just need it to blend. Sometimes the blades won’t get everything if I use frozen fruit but just stir it up between blends and add some water and it should be alright.
I will say cleaning it can be a little tedious because the cup is pretty long and skinny, and my hand wouldn’t be able to reach the bottom with a sponge. I would also say cleaning the blades also takes some time with getting into the crevices, but other than that the blender works well and is pretty decent for what it is. If you just need an easy to use blender and aren’t fussy with details, then it’s pretty good.
Pinkyloucious –
It was previously advertised as “dishwasher safe” on Amazon, (contrary to their website) but the description now seems to have been updated to reflect the truth that the plastic bottle is not dishwasher-safe. So that also means no pouring hot liquids in, because any heat will melt the bottle, rendering it useless. Other than that, it cuts through big chunks of ice cubes AND hard frozen fruits. The lock-in system is great: you push down, twist it slightly to lock, hands-free mixing 🙂 Contrary to other big powerful “family” blenders, it is so easy to clean and does not accumulate any mold or such (I do wash the razor cap after every use), including the plastic suction ring which is sealed into the razor cap. It takes so little space on my counter and does everything for me. Love it, and for that price!!!
