I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas as a second monitor. I don’t use it myself so can’t tell you much there, but he seems to like it. From what I can tell the color and picture quality is exceptional. The edges are very slim which gives it a all-screen sleek look

*Update – I got a second one I loved it so much. 🙂 *Let me start by saying the photo doesn’t do it justice. It makes it look dull and funky, but it’s far from. Photo is to show useage. I’ve had it a few months now and absolutely love it. I find LG has some of the best displays around and this monitor is no different. It’s so vibrant! Gives off no heat even when on for hours! At first I expect a 27 to be rather small. Once I got it, I was happily surprised to see that the 27 is actually pretty big! Not bulky big though. The monitor itself is very well built and sleek. I love it and would absolutely recommend. 5/5

I chose to downsize my gaming set up in my room to save some space, I use to have a flatscreen tv as my primary gaming monitor.

*I was so use to having that low Hz refresh rate that having 165Hz refresh rate on Vanilla Skyrim is fantastic, I barely notice the dragging blurs that would usually occur on my flatscreen TV. Colors stand out much more vibrantly.

*Most games I tend to stick with the 60-100Hz refresh rates in order to save some CPU power output.

*There is no audio output speakers, so I keep a bluetooth speaker plugged directly in to my PC at all times.

*My mini PC isn’t powerful enough to test out 4K resolution for this monitor, so I can’t test that out unless I get my gaming PC back in functioning condition.

    Design & Build Quality.
The LG 27GQ50F-B has slim bezels that maximize screen area for multi-monitor setups. The matte black finish gives it a professional look and the stand offers support. The build quality is solid, as LG is known for making tough gaming peripherals.

    Display and Performance.
    Resolution and Color Accuracy:
The 27-inch Full HD display delivers clear images for gaming and multimedia enjoyment. The colors are vibrant and accurate thanks to LG’s advanced panel technology for gaming.

    Refresh Rate & Response Time:
A highlight on the LG 27GQ50F-B is the 165Hz refresh rate that delivers ultra-smooth gameplay with low motion blur. Together with the 1ms Motion Blur Reduction, this monitor is ideal for games where every millisecond counts. High refresh rate and quick response time help reduce ghosting and screen tearing for competitive gaming.

    Adaptive Sync Technology:
It has AMD FreeSync, which syncs the monitor’s refresh rate to the video card frame rate. This technology eliminates screen tearing and stuttering for smoother gaming. It helps especially for gamers who play graphics-intensive games.

    Connectivity.
The LG 27GQ50F-B comes with two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort. This variety guarantees compatibility with numerous devices including games consoles, PCs and other peripherals. The computer monitor also features a headphone jack for gamers that like using headphones.

    Ergonomics & Adjustability.
The monitor stand features tilt adjustments for users to find the most comfortable viewing angle. It doesn’t have height adjustment or pivot options though, so that may be a downside for some users. The monitor is VESA mount compatible and may be set up on a wall or a monitor arm.

    Additional Features.
    On-Screen Control:
LG’s On-Screen Control software lets users change monitor settings with a mouse. This makes it easier to calibrate display settings to individual tastes.

    Black Stabilizer:
Black Stabilizer improves visibility in dark environments so you can see enemies in shadows better. This is helpful for first-person shooter games in which visibility is essential.

    Pros and Cons.
    Pros:

High refresh rate (165Hz) for smooth gameplay.
Quick response time (1ms) to minimize motion blur.
AMD FreeSync support for tear-free gaming.
    Vibrant and accurate colors.
    Design with thin bezels.
    There are several connectivity options.
    Cons:

Limited ergonomic adjustments (no height or pivot adjustments)
For some users, Full HD resolution is insufficient for higher resolutions.
    No built-in speakers.
The LG 27GQ50F-B Ultragear Gaming Monitor is an excellent choice for gamers who need a fast, responsive and attractive display. Its combination of 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms Motion Blur Reduction and AMD FreeSync support makes for immersive gaming. It might be lacking some ergonomic features and higher resolutions but is still a solid purchase for gamers looking for a competitive advantage.

I got this to replace a broken Samsung monitor I use for projecting shows and sports from my laptop while I play Xbox. First I’ll start with the negatives. The power cord is unbelievably short. I didn’t measure it but it can’t be much longer than 3 feet. It should be 6-9 feet. I had to use a surge protector (my extension cord was only two-prong) to have it reach a small distance from the end table it sits on to the wall. That was really annoying but nothing a three-prong extension cord or surge protector can’t fix.

The second negative is there is no way to turn up brightness or adjust any actual display settings. There are only a few presets tailored for gaming to choose from, and none of them are as bright as I would like. Lastly, the stand is obnoxiously wide but it’s very easy to install and stable, so that’s a plus.

Overall I’m happy with the monitor. The picture is top end for 1080p and I have no concerns about it optimizing whatever I’m watching to the maximum performance available. I haven’t gamed on it so I can’t provide feedback there but obviously there are way higher-end monitors depending on what you’re looking for with gaming. This one I imagine would be more than sufficient for any type of normal gaming you intend to do. I realize could have purchased a cheaper monitor for what I’m using it for but LG is consistently among the top rated brands for monitors. I’ve had nothing but great experiences in the three LG TVs I’ve purchased, so they will always get my business if they have something I’m looking for.

This monitor is up there for one of the best sub $200 gaming monitors you can find out there. It was super easy to install and required minimal setup. The only downside is the software LG recommends to configure the screen settings, it can be a little janky but will not reduce the overall screen quality and performance.

My son ask me if he can a bigger monitor. I took a look and found this unit with great specs.

Got it home and now he is very happy with how the screen is. He was a little confused since he had to put the monitor ready.

Hello, seller. As you can see in the picture, the product is defective. The packaging was not good either. The plastic was torn off and the screws were rolling around on the bottom of the box. Please give me a refund.
