RHEL 8 does not officially support dual-boot, this book should not even mention it if it is not officially supported

I’ve been in the computer business for 35+ years. I have hundreds of manuals published by both OEMs and outside individuals. This is the best computer book I’ve ever read. Period. A lot of Linux manuals take a thousand pages to tell you what’s what. Smyth does it in 250. Every chapter is crammed with succinct, useful material. The chapters on virtualization alone are worth the price. Wanna save your company money with an alternative to VMware? Follow Smyth’s step-by-step to fully implement Redhat VMs.
And oh, incidentally, I’m also a tech writer for IBM Systems Magazine, so I know just a bit about cramming a lot of useful information into as few words as possible.

I feel like it was a bit superficial. It did help me get started but it is a bit weak as reference material.

It is a great book for starters…cover all topics in sequence by showing how to do.
it is kind of linux encyclopedia. one can see how to do something with examples. PDF is great bonus also.
Love the book.

This maybe a small book by comparison to other Linux text books but it’s an absolute gem. First of all it squeezes some of the most comprehensive instructions and 34 chapters into 300 pages but it’s 300 awesome pages of Red Hat goodness. I use RHEL 8 and have two physical servers and one virtual sever for testing so like to think I have a good handle on Red Hat systems. This book however has shown me that’s not the case, or it wasn’t before I read it. This book would be worth the money just for the chapters on remote desktop, X11 and virtualization, for the whole thing, it’s worth every penny and a lot more. I’m half way through the e-book and already ordered a physical copy to have it handy. If you use, or plan to use Red Hat, this is absolutely the book to buy.
