For background: I’m a software developer at a PC for 8 hours a day. I started having carpal tunnel wrist pains with normal mice, so I churned through a handful of cheap vertical mice over the past 8 years. I honestly didn’t have any issues with vertical mice – my last one was just on the verge of death, so I decided to branch out to the world of trackball mice. After tons of research, I settled on this one. The results?…
I love this mouse! I don’t have any frame of reference, but the ball is plenty smooth for me. All the buttons are nicely positioned, and the mouse body fits nicely to my hand, which I’d say is average size.
One worry I had before buying was the adjustment period, but for me this was surprisingly short. The first few days were fine – just some issues with accuracy. But I’d say within the first week I was using this mouse as a second nature. I’m even been using this as my preferred mouse for some video games like Baldur’s Gate 3 & Pillars of Eternity (although I personally can’t imagine trying to use it for something like an FPS).
Another worry I had before buying was the risk of RSI from the thumb movement, as there’s lots of concerns online about this for thumb-oriented trackball mice. But after using this quite regularly for a few weeks, I’ve had zero thumb pain, outside of some soreness the first couple of days. Of course, I can’t guarantee your experience will be the same, but this is a pretty low bar for entry. Just listen to your body as you go!
My biggest complaint: the tilt angle. It’s too flat for me on the table, causing my wrist to rotate too much. I wanted more of that vertical mouse feel. Thankfully, this was easily remedied by 3D printing a tilted base for the mouse from a free model on Thingaverse.
The only other inconvenience so far has been that the ball will start to lose its smoothness after a couple days of consistent use, but this is easily remedied in 10 seconds by popping the ball out and cleaning off the contacts.
However, these minor issues are far outweighed by the pros & low price. So as far as I’m concerned, 10/10!

I have only purchased Logitech mice/trackballs for over 30 years, because they seem to work very well, are made pretty good, and last a long time for the most part. Their customer service is quite good in all my instances of calling them. Not Recommending keyboards, they feel cheap. Cannot review or comment on any game devices.

It works perfectly fine. Not very practical for big hands. It works better on the palm with people that have small hands.

At first, using the Logitech ERGO M575 trackball mouse feels a bit odd, but you get used to it within 30-40 minutes. After just 2-3 hours of active use, I felt like a pro at handling it. It’s a fantastic tool that combines comfort with precision, making it a great choice for anyone looking to enhance their computer use experience.

Great mouse if you like a trackball. This was my first time trying a trackball mouse, and while the first day of use I had to use more brain maneuvering my curser on the screen, it grew on me. Trackball was sensitive, but trackball sensitivity and buttons can be adjusted if Logi+ is downloaded on your computer/laptop. Buttons are clicky and have a nice rebound or response, and you will hear clicking. But it was overly loud. More like if you like the click sound it will be satisfying, but if not it’s about as loud as a standard mouse. Normally I wouldn’t spend so much on a mouse but after recent wrist pains while working figured it was time to be ergonomic minded. So good value, easy to set up – just hold down Bluetooth button and laptop quickly found the device, it is heavier than other mice but you aren’t moving it.
I did decide to return the mouse, but it’s not because it’s a bad mouse. I purchased the Logitech Lift at the same time so I could see which, if any, would help with my wrist pain. The Lift is a vertical mouse and helped more with the pain. I did seriously contemplate keeping both mice so I could have the flexibility and ability to use both – keep things fresh with my wrist. But after a couple weeks I tended to use the vertical mouse more and didn’t want to watch a $40 mouse just sit on my desk. My husband who has bigger hands than me and is a gamer preferred the trackball mouse over the Lift, so maybe if you’re a gamer this mouse is for you. I do plan on buying again in the future, but right now I did not need this mouse. I also preferred the responsive feel of the buttons over the Lift/vertical mouse.

It’s functional, smooth, and accurate. The build quality is excellent – the ergonomics seem perfect. The battery life is quite acceptable. It’s portable and takes up very little space, but it isn’t small, either. A trackball is a great alternative to a conventional mouse, especially if you get pain(s) in your hand or wrist or arm from extensive use of the mouse. I highly recommend!
