UPDATE: Amazon now puts a shipping box around the retail packaging! YAY. It might have been nice to rely on the wrapper to get the keyboard to the customer, but it is supposed to be on a shelf in a store, not in the back of a truck with other stuff.

The keys have the right weighting and travel, and feel substantial. The plug-in USB transmitter was damaged because someone slapped a label on the retail wrapper and did not include a transport box. It would be like putting an address label on a hamburger and french fries. The keyboard was okay, but I am trying to straighten out the USB transmitter. I have an older wireless keyboard from Logitek that has a lot of desk dirt in it, but maybe I can use its transmitter on this nice new unit. I am delighted that it includes a set of Duracell alkaline AAA with an activation tab to pull when placing in service. Unexpected bonus. Mouse also has a Duracell AA. Standard design, feels good.

Here it is a FULL SIZE keyboard with all the letters, symbols and functions where they belong! No more holding a “Special Function” key down to get a screen grab or use an “F” key – everything is right where it belongs with a full numeric pad too. A real keyboard at a low everyday price!

There is no information packaged with the keyboard to tell you how or where they packaged the transmitter.
It’s tiny, and so can easily be overlooked, but it is there.
In the past it was in a hidden compartment in the mouse.
With my last one that compartment was empty, but it was inserted instead into a hole in the inner cardboard packaging.
With both keyboards I almost sent them back – actually getting the label to print out.
The keyboard and mouse itself both work well. I only needed to replace it because I had worn off some of the characters on the keys.
However, I do fault Logitech for not including information on it or in a separate bag or box. This would be such an easy fix. And for newbies, include how to install it.

This is the only Logitech keyboard I have owned (out of 4 models) that took a direct hit from a full glass of water knocked over. Split second after the spill, I flipped the keyboard upside down and killed the power button. I bumped it a few times downward and tilted it to get the water out. After removing all the screws holding it together and prying it open, I discovered a rubber barrier between the keys and the circuitry. Almost NO water onto the circuitry. The panel holding all of the keys di get pretty wet. But came dry fast with no problems, keys were locked into place, none falling out. My last three Logitech keyboards did not have such great water resistance, no matter how fast I could grab them and flip them upside down. I recommend this Logitech MK270 model specifically. I was really impressed with how well built it is.

The fact that BOTH the mouse and keyboard came with not only batteries included, but also pre-installed should be enough to give this product a five star rating in and of itself, but at to the fact that it’s light-weight, and there is ZERO lag between the devices and the receiver is exactly what I was looking for and needed. Once again, Logitech comes out as king of their trade. HIGHLY recommended!

This keyboard/mouse combo is better than I expected. I had a similar keyboard with raised keys that I couldn’t use around other people because of how loud it was when I typed. This one is pretty silent, and I love the convenience of the tilt legs, so I don’t need the wrist support I used with my previous one. And for less than $25!
I am SO glad I read the review by another customer (Tech Connect) as follows: ” I was looking for the usb dongle inside the battery bay of the mouse where is typically stored, but it wasn’t there. I thought they forgot to include one and was preparing to box it back up for a return then notice it was attach to the lip of the box.”. Same thing happened to me until I remembered this review.

One of my biggest complaints about keyboards is the manufacturers think they can move the key positions about willy-nilly and it won’t make any difference. (The worst example was one that came with a refurb computer where the Enter key was extended to include the position of the ‘\’ key – which was somewhere else on the keyboard. I didn’t even plug it in, I knew I wouldn’t be able to use it, and gave it away.) I learned to touch type in high school, so I know where keys are supposed to be without looking, and when they’re moved around, it just slows me down. This keyboard, however, has all of the keys in the right places, and it’s a joy to use.
On a similar vein, the size and shape of a mouse is something with a wide variation. “Travel mice” tend to be too small for me to comfortably hold, “gaming mice” have so many buttons and modes that you almost need a degree to be able to use them, and ordering a mouse online where I can’t pick it up and see how it fits my hand is something I’ve always avoided because of the ergonomic issues. This kit was suggested to me by a good programmer friend, so I took a chance on the pair – and I wasn’t disappointed! The mouse fits my hand perfectly, it works smoothly, and I have absolutely no complaints about it.
I will be ordering more of these as my other keyboards and mice wear out, and I buy more equipment. I would recommend this pair to anyone.

I love this set and what a great price! Love that I no longer have to mess with wires through my desk or them getting caught on something. Comes with a little usb dongle so does take up one usb port. Highly recommend! My office buys this exact set for everyone also. Can’t go wrong.
