Love this pack. I am small with small shoulders and a waist, so I rely on my hips to support most weight because within minutes my back becomes excruciating. This has a hip-strap that I’m able to pull far enough in to make the majority of the weight rest where I need it to. The pack leans a touch back when I do this but it’s no big deal. Highly recommend!

This is a great backpack for your long weekend backpacking/camping trips. This pack is very spacious with lots of compartments. The straps feel very comfortable. Easy to access pockets. Very nice and spacious pack. I am 6′ 5″ and the pack fits my body well. The hip belt is comfortable and helps distribute the weight just fine. The reason for the title is two-fold. First, the zippered compartments on the hip belt are small. You can not really get much in there, and definitely not a cell phone. Second is the fact that there are really not any compartments inside the pack. Anything and everything you put in there is just all piled up, resulting in a lot of digging around for specific items. There are three external zippered pockets, plus the compartment for the rain cover, but they do not really offer a lot of storage (and they are not really that easily accessible, except for the front compartment which is small. Besides that, I really do like this pack and look forward to using it on all my upcoming hikes.

I took this backpack on a 12 day trip through Europe and it was great. The pockets fit everything I needed and were perfectly placed to not smash anything. The adjustable straps helped to get everything tightly compact. Fits comfortably on my back and did not create back pain because of the padding placement. For hiking and compact travel this high quality backpack is definitely worth the money. I’ve already recommended it to two other friends who have since bought it for their travels.

Got into hiking last year and am hoping to do some backpacking this year, so needed a real backpacker bag. Went to REI first but got sticker shock. Came here and bought this instead. Have taken it hiking 5 or 6 times now and have been happy with it.
It has a lot of storage with pouches in many different places, and feels sturdy enough. It does dig into my shoulders a little bit but I don’t know if that’s a problem with the bag itself or just the way things are with big bags, or I’m just wearing it wrong. Going to try adjusting it a bit. Regardless, it’s a good bag for the price.
