2016 F150 with 275,000 KM started to shudder, felt like you were going over a rumble strip when you accelerated and put the trans under load. After research found it was the torque converter slipping causing the issue, added one tube of this product and instantly fixed the issue on the first test run out. Im under no illusion my transmission is on its last legs but I have seen report of folks getting another 60,00KM out of their transmission after addition this and for the small cost yes a $7000 transmission it is worth the gamble.

Only put it in two days ago, but what a DIFFERENCE! After owning a 2005 PT Cruiser Limited for 11 years, it was deemed totaled when someone carelessly pulled right out in front of me across two lanes of traffic. There was no way I could stop my vehicle, and my dearly beloved car was considered a total loss. It never had any transmission issues, so I had no need to use this product.

About a month ago, I bought a “new” PT Cruiser Limited Edition. It is a 2001, and has a bit over 100,000 miles on it. I was leery to get a car with that many miles, but it looks like someone took good care of it.

When I test-drove it, I noticed it had quite a “shudder” when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. It also shuddered a bit when braking. Heard a bit of rumbling, and noticed that it did not drive smoothly, as my other PT Cruiser had. I decided to get it anyway, as it was the right price, and looks great.

After driving it for a couple of weeks, I decided to try to do something about the shudder. I took it to our mechanic for an oil change and general inspection. He took care of some minor issues, and told me that it was going to need transmission help sometime in the future. He said that I could probably delay transmission work, if I drove it “like a little old granny”. I did not intend to drive it harshly, anyway, but noted his advice and have been driving it very, very gently.

Despite that, the shudder when going from 1st to 2nd, persisted, and I noticed it struggled a bit when shifting into a higher gear. Rather than plunge into a transmission fix, as I only drive a few miles going from home to our business, I ordered two tubes of the Lubegard 19610 Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx. They arrived promptly, and I put both of them in two days ago.

The first day, I did not notice any difference. The SECOND day, I felt like I had a new transmission. The car drives smoothly, does not shudder, and shifting is gentle and barely noticeable. Hard to believe that something in a little tube could make that much difference, but it HAS! I am a believer, and it only took two tiny inexpensive tubes to occasion the change. I am very, very impressed!

Note: It is too soon to tell, but it sounds like the rumbling has died down, and my gas gauge has not moved much. In the month that I have owned the vehicle, I have put 3 tanks of gas in it. Since I put the Tranny Instant Shudder Fixx in, the gas gauge has stayed fairly steady. There may be no connection, but it appears that my gas mileage will be better, too.

UPDATE: Roughly three weeks later – The problem I was having did not go away completely, so I ordered a syringe of XADO Revitalizant EX120. It took a couple of weeks, but now, shifting is MUCH smoother than it has been since I bought the car July 9th. As a side benefit, the gas mileage IS a lot better, as I mentioned earlier that I suspected it might be. Planning on adding another syringe of XADO soon.

Cannot say with certainty which product made the difference, but my vehicle is a lot more pleasurable to drive!

UPDATE: October, 2019 – Well, my 2001 PT Cruiser started a few months ago really “bucking” and “grabbing” when I applied the brakes. Replaced the motor mounts, and then the tranny mount. Made no difference, and the two mechanics I dealt with – both personally known to me – thought I needed a new transmission. THAT will be an expense that I would like to prolong for a while.

So… I decided to put two tubes of the Lubeguard Instant Shudder Fix into the transmission. Drove it around town for days, and noticed no improvement. THEN, I had to go somewhere that was an hour and half away. It only shuddered badly once on the trip, and in the two days since I have been back – it has not “grabbed” once! I am very hopeful that it will take care of the issue, at least for awhile, as I happen to really love my 2001 PT Cruiser Limited Turbo car! Not sure why these little tubes make any difference at all, but they do!

For those wondering, I’m just an average Computer Nerd kind of guy, not really a car guy, but I do most of my own maintenance on everything! Being a very Technical Computer guru, I’m always cautious when it comes to “Quick Fixes in a bottle” kind of stuff. I guess that is the analytical side of me kicking in all the time and it usually serves me well in the computer world, so I really didn’t have much hope for fixing my 2001 Lincoln Town Car with about 91,000 miles on it.

The car started “Shuddering” a few years ago, and like most folks, I had to eventually replace a “COP, Coil on Plug” device. About 8 months later, the Shudder started again, and this time a dash trouble light came on and the code indicated a bad COP device, so I had my mechanic replace another one that was found to be bad. At $200 buck a wack, this was getting expensive, so when this Shudder came back a third time, I decided to replace all of them as well as new plugs and wires.

This worked great for a few months but then I got a “Different” kind of Shudder, and it only seemed to happen when shifting at speeds over about 35 MPH, and applying a little more gas pedal did not get rid of it like it did with the original COP based Shudder I experienced. In fact the engine was running smooth as glass, and it seemed like the car was trying to go into OverDrive locking transmission mode when this happened, so I was really confused. Lifting off the gas pedal then getting back on it seemed to make it stop, but then in a few minutes it would start again, particularly when approaching a slight grade up in the road. This car is used mostly in town, so speeds are slow, around 30 – 50 MPH when this happens. Out on the highway, the problem is much more pronounced.

It seemed like the OverDrive would engage and then disengage very quickly and often would feel like you were driving over the little rumble bump strips on the side of the interstate at high speed.

Doing a little research on the web led me to try this product as it made the most sense, and was certainly reasonably priced. So I ordered it from Amazon, and incredibly, it arrived the same day!!!! (Great Job Amazon!!!!!)

I kind of stuck it in the corner for a few days, and this afternoon when my wife came home from the grocery store, she was complaining about the Shudder, so I went out and poured in one tube of this “Instant Shudder FIXX” into the transmission via the dip stick filler pipe and decided to just take the car for a spin and see if this was all it was cracked up to be.

    I don’t impress easily, but WOW !!!!! WOW !!!!! WOW !!!!!

I pulled out of the driveway onto our two lane 35 MPH road and drove about a mile with NO SHUDDER!!!! I turned onto HWY 17-92 and headed for Interstate 4 which is about 4 miles away. Speed limit on this road was 40 for about 2 miles, then 50 for another 2 miles. I got on I-4 heading East and accelerated off the ramp onto the highway, set the cruise control for 72 MPH, and let her fly!. After encountering several hilly areas where the car would have to work a little to get up, I exited the highway and took a few backroads all the way back home. Speeds ranged from about 30-55 MPH.

This car shifted and ran smooth as silk!!!! Not a Single Shudder or pause during shifting during the entire trip!!!!

I’m Absolutely Astounded with how well this product works!!!! Like I said earlier, I am very pessimistic when it comes to Miracle “Fixes in a bottle” products, but honestly, I still can’t believe how fast and how well this product has worked in my old Lincoln Town Car!!!!

I figured I had nothing to lose, and really didn’t want to spend money for a whole new transmission for this old car and was going to trade it in for something else because the erratic shifting was just driving me crazy, particularly out on the highway. Wow, what more can I say?

Anyway, if you have an old Lincoln Town Car that has a similar Shuddering problem and you are sure it’s not the COP, Plugs or Wires, you owe it to yourself to give this product a shot!!!!

If anything changes, I’ll definitely update this post, but for now, this car is running as good as it did the day it left the showroom!!!

    Truly Amazing!!!!

Thanks Lubegard for creating the “19610 Dr. Tranny INSTANT SHUDDER FIXX”, This is a FABULOUS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!

Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011. VM Motori V6 diesel, NAG 1 gearbox.

If you have one of these you will know about the strange lumpy acceleration on low throttle that can occur and once it starts it just carries on.

So after a year of trying to stop it, dealer ATF and filter change, updated software on the gear box. Changing all drive train fluids, engine retune etc. nothing works long term, so I stuck a tube of this in. Half an hour of driving later, the gearbox is back to behaving itself.
Can’t recommend enough, stick it in your auto box, you won’t regret it.

I didn’t even suspect that my gearbox can change gears so smoothly and effectively. After 100km there is no slip between 5 and 6. There is slight slip between 3 and 4, but before Lubegard it was acting like a CVT so i call it a success. My car is 2014 Opel Insignia with Aisin AF40 and 340 000km on odometer

  8. Good quality for its price

I don’t normally write review couz I am just too lazy, but this transmission shudder fix really work and I wish everyone having similar problem should give it a try! My 2010 Ridgeline 236k miles always have minor shudder problem when shifting gear, as if the gear is being “push” hard to shift up, lesser joint when shifting down. Since I got the truck at around 180k, I have no idea how the previous owner maintained, though when I replaced the transmission fluid, it was pitch dark… 🤨 anyway, I tried 2 drain and fill with Honda DW-1 fluid, the problem still persist, esp during winter season, then I switched to amsoil oem series fluid, a little better, but still happens, so I just purchase this and add through the transmission dip stick inlet (yes this truck still has one, I am grateful 🥹). Anyway, after driving for about 5-10miles the shudder is much less intense but noticeable, then after 50miles drive, it almost gone, mean I can feel the transmission is shift so fluid and smooth, and much more torque feel, I can probably assumed the transmission mechanism are having increased contact with each other. Anyway, if you have high mileage automobile, worth a try. I am just amazed how this thing actually works.
