After lots of research and a trip to two local guitar stores, I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 6 year old grandson. I was impressed with the quality of this guitar! I’ve played guitar for decades. The neck, headstock and fretboard are all high quality. The tuners could use an upgrade but are adequate at this stage. I had to replace the strings immediately (went with online expert recommendations for 3/4 scale guitars: 11-50 DR High-Beams (value brand)), and had to sand out the nut to fit the slightly wider E and A strings. I used a “locking technique” on the windings to compensate for the tuners. I had to adjust the intonation (you can find videos on how to do that if you don’t know) but now it will mostly hold its tuning. If he progresses on it, I’ll move him up to the Fender Squire Mini, but for now, this will do very nicely. The amp is larger and louder than I expected, and my daughter appreciates that it comes with a headphone jack! The gig bag is a nice extra, as is the strap. Great kit for this price! The pic shows the dark blue version of this guitar compared to my full size Gibson.

for a ten to 12 year old child this is perfect to learn and get a feel for playing guitar…..as a set its pretty complete and the little amp is actually pretty sweet with the “distortion” switch as well as a clean channel. i didnt find many other similiar products with the distortion option…. can plug in an external device (like ipod ,etc,) and the little speaker thumps and seems to handle it well(device will control the volume……….VERY important to remember!!!)…..two red knobs on amp indicate the gain and the bass….DO NOT turn theese up very loud…….trust me…..otherwise this is a very well made product overall and in fact id say ive bought lesser quality full size guitars in the past from music stores that i paid more for and didnt come as a combo kit………happy face emojji

We got this as a starter guitar for our daughter and she loves it. The whole set is perfect to get started and prove that the kid will maintain the interest in music at which stage you can invest in more expensive gear, though I imagine this one will last us quite a while before she out grows it.

I must say I was quite impressed with the quality of this guitar. It has a nice heavy feel. The volume and tone knobs have a nice resistance when turning, doesn’t feel loose/cheap. The tuners are tight and seem to hold. Guitar was almost in tune out of the box which was nice. I can’t wait to set up the action on the bridge. This was a great purchase for sure and I bet the full size guitar would be of comparable quality to my Squire Affinity Strat, if not better.

This a great option for a starter kit for kids wanting to learn to play guitar.

We got this guitar for my 7 year old daughter who is obsessed with electric guitars. We were so excited as it fit her well and she will be able to take lessons with it. It’s a great shade of pink and the amp sounds great. But the place that you plug in the amp (into the guitar) is not good quality. We gave her the guitar on Christmas Day, and three hours later, when she pulled the cord out to disconnect from the amp, the whole thing came apart. My husband was able to fix it… or so he thought. It happened yet again, just yesterday. Not 48 hours after she got it. This time he pulled out all kind of tools to see if he could fix it more permanently, and told her the work around is that she never disconnect from the amp. That is not an appropriate fix for a Children’s guitar. We are pretty disappointed in this feature.

I have been playing guitar and bass for almost 40 years. I am not a professional but I have played in a number of actively gigging original bands and recorded 5 independent releases with the bands. My 7 year old son started taking interest in my guitars, but I am not about to hand a Les Paul over (even just the weight of it is not appropriate for a little guy). I bought my first guitar from the Sears catalog back in 1982. It was not very good and the action set so high that my fingers could get caught between the strings at the higher frets (but I didn’t know any better at the time and I was leaning on myown). After a bit of online research I settled on this kit. Upon arrival I immediately opened it and started checking all the components. Everything works and is of good quality for the price. The guitar is overall well built and looks just as depicted. I was impressed by the action, which can really get in the way of learning if it is not appropriately set. The guitar had obviously been pre-tuned and had maintained it fairly well (considering the thermal fluctuations it must have been subjected to in transit – it’s December – and during storage). I enjoyed playing the instrument, keeping in mind it’s not a high end instrument but an excellent one for the price. The amplifier is just right. No one wants to lose sleep to a 7 year old playing guitar and the amp provides enough volume to have a lot of fun but not wake up grandma. It also has a headphone jack. It has quite a bit of range (again for the price), and the built in distortion is rather pleasant (think early Black Sabbath but also able to get more modern tones by playing with the bass and treble). The clip on tuner worked as expected and is very easy to use. The strap is functional and appropriate. Would I use this guitar to play a gig or record? sure, why not? it’s a fine instrument that gets the job done and I had fun mucking about with it. Nothing fancy but everything about it is better than adequate and an excellent first guitar kit. If this had been my first guitar I would have had a much easier time learning how to play than I did with the one I actually had.

The quality of this guitar is great, especially for the price. The strings are cheap. But that’s to be expected with a child’s beginner guitar. My 5 year old grandson loves it. It fits him perfectly. I’ve been playing guitar for over 40 years and I am impressed with the feel and playability. Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I had to buy a better cable because of buzzing and better strings. But that’s minor.

Very cute starter guitar. Bought it for my daughters birthday and she loves it. Good value for the money

Initially impressed, love the wood look. Kid was happy. But had tons of feedback, and the amp stopped working after 5 uses. Don’t waste your money. Sent manufacturer an email and didn’t receive a response at all. Poor service.

I just bought this for my daughter as her first guitar. Quality is very good and the amount is nice. We received it yesterday and gave it to her today for her birthday. After playing it myself I noticed a vibration sound on the 6th string and I was having a hard time keeping it tuned. I noticed it’s missing a set screw on the bridge causing the issue. Haven’t been able to get in touch with Amazon or the seller for customer support. Only putting this review out hoping someone can reach out for the part. Other than that this is a great starter guitar.
