I purchased this french horn a coulple of months ago and I am very impressed. At the price i was scared about the quality, but it is close to what i used to play in school (over a decade ago). What is different about this horn, is that instead of using strings to open and close the rotaries, it uses rods. I hope the seller can post a picture of the back side to show this. If you’re thinking “Strings?” then look up re-stringing a french horn. These have actually not caused any problems, in fact i think it is a better design.
The only problems i have had is that the valves can be a little binding when upon warmup. It seems that they are a little snug in the rotary housing but they probably need to be broken in a little.
The sound is amazing and the instrument is very solid built. I’m glad to be playing again after all these years.

I don’t like that the picture featured is a nice french horn, but one that doesn’t have a screw-off bell.
The other two pictures have screw-off bells….. Clearly at least one of the pictures are not from the horn you’re trying to sell…. or maybe none of them are. I’d be interested, but it makes you seem untrustworthy as a seller.

Given the price one can expect the quality of such a French Horn to be poor. Keys stuck 2 months after purchase, this seems to be an ongoing problem with this French Horn. However, it is an acceptable alternative for a beginner who isn’t sure if they want to continue to play in junior high/high school if funds are tight. Just keep in mind the potential maintenance of the above French Horn after purchase.

The quality isn’t all that great. Keys are slow to react even with proper care and adjustments, valves get stuck. I wasn’t impressed. I’m not a beginning horn player.
