I love it because it isn’t too loud. My major fear with getting a new exhaust was that I would get tired of it. Had it for a while now and I still love it every time I drive.

Missing a 302’s rumble? These pipes give a little rumble even with the stock air filter. Put in a CAI and the sound turns into a roar when you step on the gas. Love ’em on my V-6 Ranger.

Exhaust sounds great. It has a great tone to it and it is a very moderate sound unless you really get on the gas which is exactly what I wanted.
It was very easy to install. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars was the tip arrived with a dent in it (see photo). Not a huge deal I was able to smooth it out, more annoying than anything. But besides that it’s a great, high quality exhaust.

I installed this exhaust on a 2004 Mazda B 4000 4WD cab plus Se model.. The system arrived carefully packaged in form fitting foam inside the box. All the parts were included as specified. I spent a few hours removing the old original system. If you have cutting torches or large grinders the job will probably go faster. I finally resorted to using my Super Sawzall with a metal cutting blade. I was able to reuse all of the old hangers with rubber inserts.
The quality of the Magnaflow cat back system is readily apparent. The clamps provided are first rate. Every welded on hanger matched up perfectly with the existing mounting points on the chassis. It really took less than an hour to install the new parts. I checked all of the fittings after initial installation and then made adjustments as needed. In my case, I simply loosened the muffler clamps so that I could rotate the section of pipe that connects to the catalytic converter so that it lined up perfectly. Then I retightened everything.
There is supposed to be a bump in mid range power and a slight gain in feul effeciency. I have not formally checked my fuel economy yet but I can sense the better mid range throttle response. The sound is amazing. It has an authoritative yet mellow burble that is nothing like the factgory sound. Yet, there is no droning noise when cruising along the highway. As others have noted, it sounds great when you get on the gas and then settles in to do its work unobtrusively. I love the mirro finish on the muffler and the highly polished and flaired exhaust exit tip. Very nice looking.
I am very pleased with the quality of the Magnaflow 15679 cat back exhaust system. It is throroughly engineered and it is clear that they pay attention to detail. The materials used are beefy, substantial and will probably outlast me! I likley saved myself about $200 in labor by doing this myself. I am a 68 year old retiree so if I can do this so can you!
