I love the lids on these. I’m a little surprised more people haven’t mentioned it but the built in strainer and the deep lip of the lids is awesome. Fewer dishes to dirty with stuff like pasta and meats that need to be drained. If you plan to nest the pots, flip the lid upside down and store them with the smaller pot on an upside down lid. There’s less chance of damage that way. I know the nonstick coat won’t last forever but it’s nice while it lasts. The color on these is really attractive. They heat evenly and the handle are sturdy and attached without wiggling.

Had to buy for a new stovetop that required induction and these pots are a dream! They cook great, clean up quickly, and have stayed looking like new. Highly recommend!

This is a major upgrade from my 30 year-old set of Farberware stainless steel pots and I couldn’t be more pleased with them. That said, as with anything, there are pros and cons.

    PROS:
Very sturdy and well constructed. The metal handles are riveted solidly onto the bodies of the pot/pans. Non-stick surface on everything, which makes cleaning a breeze. I’m accustomed to having non-stick pans but not pots. They heat quickly and evenly. The brushed copper finish and contrasting chrome handles are attractive and sophisticated. The vented lids are an absolute game-changer. No more boiling over when I’m making rice or grains. And, as an added bonus, they’ll work on my induction cooktop (if I ever need to use it).

    CONS:
Very heavy. The single handled pots are heavy even when empty. Once they’re filled with something, it’s difficult for me to carry them. This is the reason I never purchased La Creuset cookware, so I consider it a big negative. And, as amazing as the non-stick lining is now, I know it will eventually erode and get pitted, which means these probably won’t last as long as those inexpensive Farberware stainless steel pots. And lastly, they don’t “nest” well. If I stack the medium-sized saucepan inside the large one, they get wedged together and it’s difficult to separate them.

So the pros definitely outweigh the cons, but the drawbacks are major enough to give you some things to consider.

I like this set! Out of the box the pots and pans have a sturdy feel with a nice heft to them when you lift them. The non-stick coating is very easy to clean and the stainless steel base heats evenly and doesn’t get discolored from my gas cooktop. There is nothing flimsy about this cookware, the stainless steel handles are solidly riveted to the pans and are thick and nicely polished. The sauce pans are all designed to easily pour liquids and the lids have a built in strainer with different sized holes 180 degrees out from each other. They also stack nicely for storage, a thoughtful feature. I cooked up some bechamel with garlic and parmesan cheese in the 2.5 quart sauce pan and cleanup was ridiculously easy. I have a gas stove top (as you can see in the picture) and the flame pattern causes my stainless steel pots to heat unevenly, the outside edges get disproportionally hotter then the inside, this causes uneven heating and staining of the interior walls. Needless to say my stainless steel pots require a heavy scrub with scothbrite or other abrasive to get them clean. These pots heat evenly with the flame and cleanup is a breeze. I tried the fry pan this morning and was equally pleased that the handle did not require a pot holder to move it from the heat after use, my cast iron pan handle would burn your hand immediately. I have not tried to use these in the oven yet, but find that a nice feature especially for the dutch oven which I’m eager to use the next time I cook up a pot roast: sear on the cooktop and then in the oven she goes for braising…I can see Martha’s touch on this attractive, well designed and constructed set, it’s almost a shame to place them hidden away in a cabinet, they should probably be on display since they look that good. If you are looking to upgrade your non-stick to a reasonably priced, well made and versatile set, look no further.

Very high quality, performs well against a much higher price point. Very satisfied with this purchase. This set is very well made. The only reason I rate a 4 on Easy to Clean is that they are heavy. But that is what make them distribute and retain heat well.

We have purchased 4 new sets of pots trying to find sturdy pots and skillets, with handles that don’t burn your fingers when touching with a gas stove. We finally found them with this set! We have a very hot burning gas stove and was difficult to find a set. We purchased well known brands and expensive sets and they where where a no go! First set of Martha Stuart and she didn’t disappoint! Cool to touch and don’t have to worry about warping on bottom over time with this set. Hope you too have same experience.
