The guitar looks and sounds great especially for the price, but the action is awful. I thought Martin would have done a better job, the guitar is almost unplayable. After spending 100$ to get it ground down and setup properly, itโs a great guitar.

Ive been playing guitar for over 5 decades. Always wanted a Martin, plus I am a Johnny Cash fan. This guitar is amazing to say the least. Ive only had it for 3 days, and played it more than 15 hours. I did change the strings to a 10 gauge,as i do not use 12 or 13. I decided to plug it in my 3 amps. In my old Fender amp, it was unreal, what a sound, i also used it in my to Peavy Stereo chorus amps, what a sound. Believe me, you can not and will not find a guitar liket his one for the price.. When you unpackage the guitar, you will notice that the small black tailpiece(HOLDS THE STRAP ON) IS NOT on the guitar. DO NOT PANIC. It is inside the gig bag in a small envelope. Martin for some reason does not put them on. Just push in the peg, you are set to go.ENJOY !!

only thing i disliked was, it didn’t have a truss rod ,i had to order me one becuz the strings buzzed with capo on,so i loosen the neck up a bit and it plays perfectly ,i leave it at my church and can’t wait to play it for the lord

I was on the fence about buying HPL, but after watching some video reviews and reading up on HPL, I decided to pull the trigger. I think for the price and what you are getting, it’s a very nice dreadnaught. It sounds really good. It has a nice low ended tone to it. It doesn’t sound tinny at all. Almost like having a mahogany wood sounding guitar. I recommend it. It arrived quickly from The Music Zoo through Amazon. Thank you!

I love this guitar I purchased aMartin D 28 last may I find my self picking up the Dx more often than my D28

it’s incredibly heavy and has no volume. When playing the low end constantly drowns out the highs, while the action is too stiff to even consider playing fingerstyle long term. Intonation is way off, the neck was also slightly warped and the strap peg at the bottom was missing. someone inspected this trash?
the appearance is gaudy in person. I can’t imagine Johnny Cash would be happy about having his name on such a piece of junk made in a foreign country.
I got a Yamaha FG-TA for the same price. real wood. much nicer body with soft action, no buzzing. perfectly straight. intonation perfect. it also has the transAcoustic system with onboard chorus and reverb, sounds beautiful.

This is my go-to guitar now and maybe forever. it is 649+ but sounds like a 3 thousand dollar Martin, They sure did this right. This is a must-have for any guitarist beginner or accomplished.

The “CASH” Martin Guitar is great guitar for the price. The soft “CASH” guitar case is snug and everything fits fine. I had the guitar restrung once I received it. The electronics work fine, I push the “CASH” thru different amps and everything sounds fantastic. I would recommend this fine guitar to all of my “STRING FRIENDS”
