Alien 76 –
THE PRODUCT IS A STRAIGHT AHEAD SINGLE BEAT METRONOME . LOUD ENOUGHT TO BE HEARD OVER WITH THE MUSIC PLAYED IN PRACTICE. IT IS WELL CALIBRATED AND PROVIDES A STEADY BEAT.
Buyer_66 –
This metronome is the best available in my view, because of its simplicity of design and reliability. I have two of these. The older one is in our piano room and this newer one is in a room upstairs where I practice horn when my wife is practicing the piano. This newer one is louder than the old one, even a bit too loud, but I remedied that by placing a bit of black hockey tape over part of the speaker/sound holes, so now it is fine. The dial is easy to adjust, with no digital buttons to press. This metronome also has an A=440 tuner, but no other features other than the metronome beat feature itself. A nine-volt battery is required, and a battery lasts for a very long time, even with regular daily use of the metronome.

easy and portable. put a towel over it for sound, and to not scratch the piano. I would have given a five rating if it started at 35 beats a minute.
Amazon Customer –
I purchased this to replace my older Matrix metronome (which, incidentally, I’ve had for over 20 years). This is the exact same model as my older one, so looks like they haven’t made any changes to the design, etc. Anyway, this is a great product at a decent price. It doesn’t have any fancy electronics (like digital readout or anything), but the dial is very positive (easy to turn, and has a solid click motion). It does the job perfectly!

4 years later still enjoy this guy. Plenty loud, easy to adjust, easy to find room for while playing ( shirt pocket) and good price
Marilyn F. Pinson –
My other metronome exactly like this model wore out after many, many, many years of faithful service. I use the metronome a minimum of an hour daily. I can hear the tick even when my pipe organ is loud.

4 1/2 stars? I like it because it’s loud enough to hear over my fiddle. It’s very uncomplicated and basic. There’s no syncopation rhythms, volume control, etc. to confuse the issue. I have this to practice maintaining a steady rate and that’s what it does (my wife might argue that). I have a more complicated, Tama “Rhythm Watch RW105” that does triplets, 1/4, 1/8,.., programs, ties my shoes, and more; but it sits on my dresser collecting dust. This is perfect for me.

I really like this simple to use.
