One of the bowls has a discoloration line on the inside of the bowl which becomes visible when wet/washed. Thankfully it fades away when dry. Not very happy about this.
Karen –
I ordered this serving bowl because of its shape and size. It’s just right to serve a dish for 4-6 people. The shape is a little different (oval) which is very pretty.
Linda Mercer –
Perfect size for many items and it goes perfectly with my Christmas dishes!!
LALAM –
This bowl is very attractive and a nice change from the usual round serving bowls. It is just right for a family-sized bowl of mashed potatoes.

This bowl is a great addition to my Italian Countryside collection. Great buy.
Adel –
Lovely bowl, perfect size and shape but it chips and cracks instantly and has a different weight to the others in my set, so I question the authenticity.

These are very high quality and exceptional dishes and bowls. However, in the pictures, they look white. They are not. They are a cream/taupe color. The plates and bowl come in white, but the side dishes do not. I have to return all of them along with the dishes and pick a whole new set that comes in white throughout.

Definitely will be buying more to go along with my set of dishes! I had the round bowl but didn’t have this shape and I like it so much better than the round! I so love this pattern and had the dishes for years! It’s such a great classic!
Carol J –
I have Italian Countryside dishes. This bowl is a great shape and doesn’t take a lot of room on the table. It’s big enough for a good sized side dish or salad. I’m loving it.

Everyone reviewing Mikasa Italian Countryside is correct when they say the pattern is terrible now compared to years ago. My first purchase was in 2004 and the dinnerware was excellent. Now I have to laugh that they are getting away selling these products at the prices they charge. If you looked at it in the Dollar Store you would pass.
This serving bowl has the pattern around the lip completely disappear in one large spot. There is no quality control at all, obviously. There is absolutely no respect being shown to their loyal customers that really liked the original, very good product, now sadly gone. This pattern held a lot of memories and I wanted to keep it going. I’ve finally had it and am going to find a new set. BTW, I have bought other sub-par replacement bowls and dishes in the past few years for the set, and turned a blind eye to the dwindling quality, but this bowl they sent me was a joke; a reject of all rejects. Thanks for caring Mikasa (or whatever lousy company that owns the brand name). I’m going out and spending $$$$ elsewhere tomorrow. Mikasa, never again. And guess what? They could care less about this review.
