If you are more familiar with bulldawgs, this is about the size of a spring dawg which for me is perfect. The quality is very similar to the spring dawg and it feels like it will last most smaller fish but predictably will be torn up by a trophy. Nice bait for a good price.

Perfect musky lure. Not as tough as a Medusa though. I got 3 musky in one trip on this at the fox river. Last week, I got the 4th musky and its dorsal fin is falling off, but you can’t complain for the price. I definitely recommend the product and will be ordering another

I ordered both the 8″ and 12″ versions and was surprised in both cases the overall size (small). Obviously, when buying this brand, one is not buying the “original” lure and also paying a fair amount less for these “copy-cat” versions.
The original version maker of these knock-offs results in the “lure” diving at roughly a 45 degree angle during a “free-fall”, this one not so much and during the free fall, it does not provide the type of motion one gets with the original. These feel lighter (to me) than the original version (which I did not have available for a direct comparison).
That said, during the retrieve these do have pretty good action. I threw the 8″ lure about 20 times to get the feel for it, observe it’s response in the water, etc. . . Not in an effort to catch a fish.
With a very soft rubber bait like this, one cannot expect it to last through too many muskies, but at this price (as long as it gets hits), I am fine with that.
It’s a good price, let’s hope it attracts some follows and hits.
