Smaller than I thought. Need to change or clean it everyday. Sometimes need twice per day. I only have one guinea pig. But it’s safe for guinea pig.

I ordered this because of the smaller size, so it can fit inside the cage. Was hoping to fit both side by side but too long for my cage, L sharp it is. Works wonderful for me because my Piggies do their business by the food bowl, so I am able to just take out the small trade and dump out the waste and put it right back. Good thing about the small size is that I could actually take out the trade from the front of the cage opening, no need to lift open the cage and take from top. I put a disposable blue shop towels inside the trade, works good. Been a week so far so good.

Overall, it can be usefull under a tray of hay or fresh greens. But my pig does not use it as a main litter box. He prefers paper beding under his houses. But still it keeps the cage more organized. The holes are small enough for him to step on it without trouble. I think it is just impossible to teach the piggy go to one place so we are trying….
Update
As the weather got warmer I noticed he started to come to this litter box and just chill on it. May be it’s cooler than a paper bedding, I don’t know. He does spend a decent amount of time on this litter box now, just sleeps or sits on it. Which is fine.

My baby’s nail got stuck in the hole and he flipped out and cried He ended up being fine. But I felt bad returning because he had already used it ! Other than that issue I loved this !!! And it came with a little hand brush and dust pan to pick up the poop it was very handy. Now I add the hay on top so he doesn’t have anymore issues with his nails. Also keep in mind my guinea is a diva 🙄🤦🏻♀️. I would def get for a medium cage it’s perfect.

This litter pan is perfect for baby guineas, but she is now a year old and it is very small for her. I need to buy a larger one! She learned to use it very quickly!
