I want to love this baby monitor, it has all the features I’m looking for. Clear video quality, wide angle and 2x zoom, seems like a very solid build and I think it’s worth the higher price tag compared to cheaper options out there, it’s almost perfect.. but the issue I’m having is that the volume level is very low, even though I have it turned all the way up to the highest volume setting. Now this may be just the unit I received since I’ve read other reviews and don’t see anyone else complaining about this, but I’ve tried cheaper monitors that have very good sound and I don’t have to worry about not hearing my baby when she wakes up. For me the sound level is just as important as the video quality and I may have to return this and keep searching for that perfect baby monitor..

I have searched SO many baby monitors and every single one I came upon had horrible reviews so no matter what I was very skeptical with what to go with. I have the momcozy pumps and I didn’t even know they made baby monitors! I came across this one day searching since we were about to transfer our baby to crib from bassinet and the reviews were better then any I’ve searched. I decided to give it a shot and try it out. I love everything about it and it has everything I want in a baby monitor!! I highly recommend!! The quality is SO good, I love that I can double zoom in and see if she’s breathing (definitely gives me a peace of mind!). It’s very easy to use as well and it fits into my pocket which is a bonus when my hands are full! The only con I will say is that it stays in night vision mode, which I noticed other reviews said the same thing but I don’t really mind it because the image quality is still amazing I just turn the brightness up all the way so no big deal for me! If you are looking at all the other monitors out there and can’t decide, go with this one!!

6 month update: we’re still happy with this monitor, but have uncovered a few quirks:

    1. The night vision LEDs are slightly misaligned from the center of the camera, so the middle of the image is slightly dark. This is most annoying when using the zoom feature.

    2. Range can be a bit spotty. I praised the range in my original review, but we have found the audio cuts in and out frequently at extended distances.

    3. When the monitor sleeps, it also turns off the audio (both are then automatically re-enabled when it hears a loud sound). But there doesn’t seem to be a way to manually turn it off. You can tap the power button to turn off the screen, but the audio will remain on forever. So the only option is to wait for the timer to shut both off. A bit frustrating in the middle of the night when the screen is lighting up the entire room.

    —————————

Ever notice how all baby monitors have mixed reviews? Some people say “great night vision” the next review says “terrible night vision”. The reality is that all of them use cheap, outdated components. A $30 wifi camera will beat the image quality of a $200 baby monitor.

I scoured the internet for unbiased, in-depth reviews, but found most brands use paid influencers (including Momcozy). I considered VTech, Infant Optics, Eufy, Babysense, and others. And all of them had some sort of fatal flaw. I was ready to give up entirely. The Momcozy isn’t perfect, but is the most complete package. Here’s why:

    1. It’s a true 1080p product. 1080p camera AND display. The display is the unique part. Most other competing products use a 720p display (and often times, camera too).

    2. The range is legit. I have a challenging home for wireless reception, and had full strength from one corner of the house to the other.

    3. The zoom is not great, but that’s ok. See, there are zero cameras with optical zoom lenses. They all use digital zoom. And in order to have a good digital zoom, you need higher camera resolution than display resolution. Something like a 1080p camera with a 720p display will have pretty good digital zoom, as zooming in actually shows additional data that wouldn’t otherwise be shown on the low resolution display. Since this is a 1080p / 1080p system, it means zooming just makes the picture bigger and thus more pixelated. I’d personally rather have it this way, with a sharper standard image.

    4. Audio quality is very good. You can easily hear sounds on the display, and the vox feature clearly broadcasts your voice.

    5. Both units use USB-C charging. Very convenient, no proprietary chargers to worry about.

    6. The night vision is good enough. It uses an IR light to illuminate the area (invisible to the naked eye. only the camera can see it). This does a good job, but can get obstructed slightly if the camera tilt/pan is moved to the edge of its limits.

    7. No other weird quirks that seem to plague other units. Some have displays that are too bright, or LEDs that can’t be shut off. Or inconsistent connections. Or any number of other things. In my limited use so far, I haven’t found any.

Things to be determined during extended usage:

    1. Build quality / durability. This doesn’t feel particularly resilient, but that’s not terribly unique. Most baby monitors feel light and plastic-y.

    2. Warranty / customer support. The warranty is not clearly stated, but appears to be 1 year. Their website looks a little neglected, so we’ll see how the experience is if/when I ever need to contact them.

    3. Battery life. This has a fairly large battery (5000 mah) but also a more power hungry, high resolution display. We’ll see how the battery holds up over time.

This is the best monitor I’ve bought so far and I’ve bought and returned many. I like that there’s a volume button and you don’t have to go through the menu. I also like that there’s a volume option for the camera in the room (I just wish the music volume could go down lower as I’ve had to cover it bc it’s too loud on lowest setting for sleep). I like that it can pan almost the entire room as well as pan down so you don’t have to worry about the height your camera is at. Another plus is it has a seperate button for lullabies which makes it quick and easy to turn on. I like the overall design of it and it has a nice kickstand so it doesn’t tip over easy. I bought a second camera and I like that I can view screens either seperate or side by side. The picture is very clear except when zooming.
If I could perfect it I would turn the volume down on the speaker for the music, add more actual lullabies that are settling instead of kinda upbeat songs, and the front of the camera by the lens gets very hot. Idk if this is just mine or what but a lil unsafe I think. Other than that it’s been my best option

We used the DXR InfantOptics with our first and after the sound quit working we had to get a new system FAST- I almost just replaced with the same monitor, but I’m SO glad I didn’t! After pouring over reviews I landed on this Momcozy Monitor and we couldn’t be happier with it! The picture quality is fantastic- though definitely better in light than dark. The night mode does the job, but you definitely have to zoom in if you’re trying to see detail. Luckily that is SUPER easy to do.
Love the option for VOX to pop on if it detects noise to save battery- though we dont use it much because we just leave it plugged in at night on the night stand. But during nap times that is convenient so we can carry the monitor around and not drain the battery.
The sound quality is great. LOVE the side-by-side view so I can keep an eye on both kiddos, or toggle back and forth easily. Set up was a breeze – literally just plug it in and turn it on- no pairing or wifi needed.
    Highly recommend.

Wanted to like this monitor after all the positive reviews but it’s basically impossible for the monitor to be hands free as it takes over 24 hours to get even one charging bar and dies so quickly. Unless you are able to sit in the same spot with it plugged in while your baby sleeps, this monitor is not for you.

I was on the market for a baby monitor because we were going to transition our 6 month old to his crib in his nursery. This is worth every penny. I like that it doesn’t need wifi. It’s so easy to setup. Literally just plug in the camera & turn your monitor on. The volume is good & the picture is clear. The battery lasts all night. The monitor has a little stand so I can take it throughout the house with me. This gives me peace of mind now that my baby isn’t in the same room with me anymore.

Only use this thing maybe 10 times and now the camera doesn’t connect to the screen

We upgraded from our previous monitor as we will need two monitors soon, and I can’t get over how much better this one is (at almost the same price-point too). The sound quality is so high that it feels like you’re in the room. We also love the fact that we can move the camera remotely and zoom in. It gives us a bit of flexibility with where to install in since we had to worry about where cords would be exposed. The image quality is impressive, and most importantly, the device is house-safe which was really important for us. I am even considering purchasing the extra camera to just use this when the second baby arrives, rather than using our old monitor.

Against what other reviews say the night vision is absolutely terrible. It is so grainy I could not see the baby clearly no matter what position I had the camera or what the light level was. The 4x zoom is subpar and makes the picture worse.

The monitor battery lasted just under 3 hours. The range is good for about 80-90′ before it disconnects. The camera movement is slow and jerky.

There are much better cameras for the price range.

It’s exactly what I was looking for. Clear, easy to use, wide coverage. I returned a different brand to try this one out and it is perfect. Batter last a long time and the delay is not long at all. Very happy with the performance so far.
