Kodiak400 –
Carb works great on my 03 Yamaha Kodiak 400
Straight out of the box, the only adjustment I had to make was the idle screw wish the fuel filter didn’t leak but can’t complain for the price.

Fit perfect and runs so good. Fast shipping. This was an easy fix. Saved myself a lot money nu doing it myself

Recently installed this carb on 06 Kodiak 450. Disassembled and checked jet sizes first. Sizes were correct although they carried different numbering. Everything inside the carb was assembled correctly. Only concern was the pilot jet was set at 3.5 turns which I thought might be excessive so I used 2.5 instead. Kodiak starts fine, seems to be quite correctly jetted, performance is what I would expect, really no problems at all…and cheap to boot. What’s to complain about?
UPDATE: After running for awhile I did have to readjust pilot screw (no big deal) and raise the mixture needle one groove. Machine was running quite lean but this seems to have done the trick. Dropped one star just cuz if its being sold for a specific model it should be jetted accordingly…or inform that you have to do that.

This carburetor fit perfectly and worked great. Absolutely no issues installing and with operation.
Keith McKay –
This carburetor wouldn’t operate properly other than at idle. Leaked fuel and wouldn’t stop.

Kodiak 350 was a straight drop in. Fires right up runs good. After much consideration on the choke I installed it as is no swapping out old choke plunger and it works 100%.
Longevity no idea but my Kodiak has never started this good.

works great

Tried this carb on a 2006 350 wolverine it did not run properly! Adjust airscrew everyway would not stay running without choke on. Put factory jets in ran worse and the jet in this carb is leaner than factory!

Got the carb for a 2007 250 Yamaha Big Bear. Carb looks exactly the same but it is Jetted for the larger engines… Installed quite easy and it started great but was flooding out the engine with the oversized jets that came with it… I read one of the reviewers that said his carb kit came with different jets, but mine did not… It was a very easy fix, because I just pulled off the float pan by removing the bottom 4 screws on both my old carb that came with my quad runner and the new carb and I just pulled out the 3 jets from my new carb and swapped them with my old 3 jets (that were smaller and already jetted for my engine and for our altitude)… it is very easy and just make sure that your old jets are not plugged and it will run great for you…. There were many people that reviewed this carb and did not understand that the 3 jets inside the float bowl need to have the same side as your old one and can be swapped and it will run perfect after that. My Big Bear ran way good after I spent maybe half an hour to pull the carb back off and swap and reinstall it…
My kit also came with a great see through fuel filter that I just cut the fuel line and installed and it great.
Note: The choke on the new carb came with a new plunger sitting inside its housing, with the choke cable plastic housing screwed into the carb… You will need to unscrew the cable housing to see the plunger inside the carb… the plunger looks like it is screwed into the carb because it has a slot across it that look like a regular screw driver would fit… just use a regular screw driver to kind of pull it out or turn it on its side to drop the plunger out (another reviewer did not know it was the new plunger and just thought it was a different choke and ran the engine without the choke, when it was and easy fix ….
I hope this review helps you guys and god bless!!

I installed it in a 2005 Bruin 350 4×4 and it started without touching anything
Idles great out of the box, it comes with everything even the choke plunger, you just unscrew the black part and it looks like a screw jet, but it is the choke plunger just use a flat screwdriver to shake it loose and DONT INSTALL IT, USE THE OEM ONE, if not it will bog down when you give it gas. I did have to adjust the Rev limiter on the throttle control on the handle bar 10mm screw and nut because it boggs down on full throttle so I limited it’ top rpm, the fuel filter looked a little too small diameter for the fuel hose so I didn’t install it as no hose clamps come with it and I didn’t want to cut the hose and have it maybe leaking?
Very happy with the carb overall and for the price, started up immediately

Purchased this carb for my Yamaha ATV that needed help. I added a fuel filter in front of the carb to keep debris from fouling up jets and floats. Took me about an hour to install it (first time ATV owner) and the Yamaha is running great. Starts up quickly, idles perfect, smooth acceleration and it doesn’t leak gas out the overflow!! Happy camper!!
