Biotin. B vitamins. All great for hair, nail and skin health. My hair has been shedding and I became concerned. Normal for aging, so I did research and found that Biotin is the key vitamin for hair and nails when aging. My nails were getting brittle and my hair was beginning to thin out. After taking Biotin for 2 months the difference is quite noticeable and I’m so thankful. I will take this supplement til I leave this planet !! Good stuff.

Yes yes yes! I have used other brands of biotin for years now. I’ve bought from Walgreens, Costco, and the health store. Every time I use a new brand, I am never sure if I see results (which probably meant they weren’t working.) This is the ONLY brand of biotin that has ever yielded NOTICEABLE results for me.
HAIR:
This is my primary reason for using biotin. A couple of years ago, a bad perm left my hair fried, dry, and thin from constant breakage. For two years, my hair did not grow. For every inch of growth, my hair broke even with breakage. Every time I brushed, I would see my floor littered with broken hair ends. Split ends everywhere.
Am happy to report that I started noticing results after about two weeks of taking this biotin. It has been a month now and results are still going strong. I don’t notice the already damaged parts of my hair being thicker, healthier or shinier, but my hair IS growing faster, so the damaged parts are growing out and new healthier shinier growth is starting to take over. I’ve also noticed a lot of new growth at the scalp. The baby hairs near my bangs used to be nothing — now they’re about two inches long. I have never seen my baby hairs grow long before. Curious to see how that turns out.
SKIN:
Skin used to be dry and uneven all over face and body, probably due to me always being a bit dehydrated and not having the best diet. Took the biotin, not expecting to see or even notice results, but was shocked when, two weeks later, I began to notice my skin being incredibly soft. Like I said, I wasn’t expecting or trying to notice results, so for me to notice it, best believe the results were DRAMATIC. It’s been one month now and my skin is BABY SOFT. I honestly don’t remember the last time my skin was so soft and smooth. Sometimes I catch myself caressing my own body, like a weirdo because my skin feels so good to the touch. My complexion has also become milky and smooth. I used to have dry patches around my armpits and near the corners of my mouth. No more. My skin is currently pale and even-toned. I don’t need foundation as often, and when I do wear makeup, it applies smoother and blends better.
I honestly wasn’t expecting skin benefits from this product. In the past, I have tried lotions, serums, night creams and masks. I have tried to drink more water and blend nutritious smoothies. Since I have never seen any result from those, I had assumed nothing can be done to better my skin. Actually, I didn’t think my skin was too terrible to begin with. Now, I see that I had a lot of room for improvement. I wasn’t expecting skin benefits, but this biotin turned out to be the youth code for my skin. I can’t be more grateful to this biotin for giving me unexpected results.
NAILS:
Honestly don’t notice too much improvement here. I wear acrylics so I pretty much never see my real nails. They may have been growing faster, but I have not noticed because I’m not trying to pay attention. Perhaps I will start taking note and recoding the results.
All in all, I am very satisfied with this product. I have recommended this product to my friends, and would recommend it to anyone. Of the four brands of biotin I have tried, this is the only one that works for me, and it works wonders. So glad I came across it.

I have been taking these biotin pills since early March and now it is mid June. They honestly work amazing!!! I split every pill in half at first and only took half a pill a day because I didn’t want to break out with acne on my face. I didn’t get much break out, only maybe 1 or 2 pimples a month but that is already normal for me. I then moved onto taking full pills every day and this caused more acne (I guess because the dosage is too high all at once) so I went back to half a pill a day. I first started with taking them at random times of the day, whenever I remembered but then I decided to take them before sleep because I read online that biotin helps you have a better sleep. After a while, I started taking half a pill in the morning and half a pill at night. This turned out to be perfect!!!
Anyways, they work great! My hair and nails both feel much stronger and healthier after a few months of taking them. They also grow much faster than normal as well. Please AVOID other supplements that claim to increase hair growth (i.e. those blue gummy bears, hairtamin, etc). I’m sure they do work but the issue with this is that they are very expensive!! The only reason the work is because they put a whole lot of biotin in their pills! But why pay $30 for a 1 month supply when you can pay $20 for an over 5-month supply (if you split the pills in half you get 200 pills).
If you are contemplating whether to buy this, do it! If you are prone to acne, buy a lower dosage or split them in half.

Hmmm…this might end up being a very long review. Few background information: I am an African residing in the US (so I have an afro-kinky hair). I bought this drug because the last time I took out my weave, I mistakenly chopped off a large chunk of my hair. Also, I have the softest nails ever so they barely make it past one week after growing because they will break/tear off somehow. I mostly buy products based on hard evidence that it works. At the same time, I strongly understand that PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT and what works for the majority may not necessarily work for you.
That said, I started using the Biotin pills second week of September 2012. I was a bit skeptical particularly with the reviews that said they got awful acne breakouts but I decided to go ahead and try it. 2 weeks later, I got breakouts on my chin. HOWEVER, I am not sure if this is attributable to the biotin because the week I started taking the biotin, I also threaded my chin hair (first time ever)and I am more convinced that the breakout on my chin/neck may have resulted from the threading.
Anyways, it is November 7th, about 2 months after I started taking Biotin (I missed a few days of the pills when I traveled for a conference) and I have noticed VERY REMARKABLE growth in my nails (both fingers and toes). Not only are they longer, they are stronger as well. This has also motivated me to take good care of my nails.
As per hair growth/strengthening, I can’t really say if it has worked because i have a protective hair-do right now that requires me leaving out some of my natural hair that I flat iron every morning but I have not noticed any breakages or thinning so I think the Biotin is working. Hopefully when I take out my weave in one month, I will be able to update this review.
Yes I will recommend this product for anyone BUT y’all need to understand that PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT and you may not get the results others are getting. In addition. if the product promotes hair growth, then you should definitely expect hair growth in other parts of your body as well. I mean, head hair is not different from leg hairs et al. Having hair growth in other body parts doesn’t bother me because, I will shave them anyways ..biotin or not.
Finally, Biotin is not a miracle medicine. I am aware that other factors contribute to hair/nail growth and healthier skin. For example, I just started a new healthy lifestyle regime where I eat lots of fruits, drink plenty water and work out. So whatever changes I am noticing in my body may be as a result of other factors in addition to OR with exclusion of Biotin.
BUT I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND BIOTIN TO ANYONE ..afterall, it is AFFORDABLE!
