This bird feeder is great for feeding the birds (and not the squirrels). Open design allows me to watch the birds no matter what side they land on. It is also good quality and isn’t going to break apart any time soon.

These platform feeders are very popular with the birds of all types as well as the squirrels and chipmunks (or the occasional raccoon). I love that the bottom grate lifts out for cleaning, the wood sides are a little tough to get clean (I think it’s just staining) but otherwise no issues. The grate did keep tipping to one side and pouring all the seed out, I eventually figured out that one of the wood support pieces under the grid had rotated slightly (twisting around the 1 nail used to attach it), allowing the grid to tip. (I blame the fat, gray squirrels). I added a second nail to each support so that it could not rotate and that solved the issue – I had to do it to all of the feeders I’ve purchased, so I may not be the only one finding this issue. It would not stop me from buying more in the future.

I’m absolutely thrilled by this bird feeder. I bought one for myself and then a year later I bought another for my mom as a gift. Every species of bird in the yard uses it. I was shocked to see that even the gold finches used it seemed to order it over the tower feeder. It holds black sunflower seeds well but nyjer does leak through a bit. The bottom has little holes so water doesn’t stay in and ruin the seeds. It’s so easy to fill and clean. I also love that it can accommodate larger birds too like Grosbeak and Bluejays which I toss peanuts in for. It’s a wonderful feeder and I’m so happy with the purchase.

O produto é prático e bonito quando chega, mas a madeira (bambu) não é tratada para aguentar chuvas em uma área externa. Resultado: em duas semanas estava completamente mofada. Mesmo tendo sido limpa com a frequência recomendada. Sugiro que ao receber o produto, a madeira seja protegida com verniz para área externa, como Cetol Deck, para aumentar seu tempo de vida. De qualquer forma, não recomendo o produto por isso.

I just received this feeder today and I’m really happy with it. I love the cedarwood and the strings to hang them up by rubber coated wire and the removable drainage screen. It was packaged very nicely and came on time. I can’t wait to put it out. I’ve been using this old one that’s had a tear in the screen but it won’t happen with this one because it’s metal powder coated and it won’t rest. My other one must just plastic. I’m happy to use it. I’m sure the birds will very much enjoy it. Thanks for letting me voice my opinion you can’t go wrong with Cedar. It never rots FYI.

This is a fantastic bird or squirrel feeder! If you don’t want squirrels to use it, just hang it higher. (I do like the squirrels using it at my home, so I hang it lower and they jump onto it from the garden wall.) I fill it with a mixture of bird seed and nuts, and a wide variety of birds love it.

It’s been hanging out for about 2 weeks. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t overly sway in the wind. The removable screen is great for cleaning. I expect it may need a sanding and coat of varnish some year in the future but overall, happy with the quality.
