These were a pain to setup however they are doing exactly what they are supposed to.

I’ve had the Netgear R7300 router for about 3 years and purchased 2 DST6501 Extenders at that time. I decided to add a third unit recently so I bought another one.
I was having a problem getting the newest one to connect to my router and was a bit frustrated with the unit I just bought.
I finally figured out the problem – I needed to update the firmware. Once I updated the firmware everyting has worked perfectly. Go to the router online setup page and then to the DST setup page to update. Hope this saves someone else the frustration I was having earlier today.

I recently purchased the Netgear Nighthawk R7300 and wanted to get a couple more of these dead spot adapters for my 2 story home. These are brand new in the shrink wrap. They pair up perfectly with my R7300. I’m sure these were fifty bucks or more when they first came out, but getting them at this price and brand new is incredible! What I love the most is being able to use a ethernet cord from the DST to any ethernet device at the best speed of my internet. These DST’s use your existing wiring in your house from a regular AC outlet plug to enhance your wifi and ethernet capabilities. Super fast shipping from this reseller!

I could not get this adapter to sync with the R7300 router. Therefore no internet. Tried calling Geek squad who cannot help without $100 payment. States code for 1 year support is only valid if item is purchased from Best Buy. Tried calling Netgear Customer support, only to be told it was beyond the scope of their abilities, and that I should contact Geek squad. Unless you are a tech God/Goddess this is a nightmare. It is not as simple as pushing the direct link buttons.

My original one sits outdoors and with due time and salt air it failed on me. Bought 2 more of these from seller for replacements at such an affordable price.

The product worked great as a WiFi extender if your Router and Extender were using the same Electrical Circuit… Otherwise it used the WiFi SSID to connect which was degraded by the time it covered other segments of the home.

These work very well but getting them set up are kinda time consuming. After they are set up there are fantastic! I have one in my shop that’s about 200’ from the router and it works great.

Absolutely garbage. It won’t connect from the next room over. If you have paper thin walls it would probably be ok. I’ve updated the Firmware and it didn’t help. Buy a real range extender because this thing is a waste of time and money. I’d give it zero stars. Maybe I can sell it to someone with paper thin walls.
