I love my modern terrarium. I have made mine bioactive for my frog. I am hoping it holds up to mold and moisture. I do wish was option to open top.

I love this enclosure! It is now the forever home of my year old corn snake, who needed to size up his enclosure. The material is super light, yet feels sturdy. The glass panels are thick and came intact. It was amazingly easy to set up. I never build furniture, not even bookcases, so I’m not experienced or handy. Yet I put this together all on my own within 30 minutes. It’s beautiful looking, very sleek and display-worthy. Husbandry-wise, I can see this set up being good for keeping in humidity b/c of the panel walls instead of glass, and reduced screen size, as it comes in about 2″ on every side on the top. It’s a little dark inside because of that, but I dont think snake will mind, I can always get some lighting if need be.
The only negative of note is that a couple pieces have strange markings. The top panel has a long line of stain of some sort, looks like a water stain. The rubber barrier for the sliding glass also has something strange, a whitish scrape like it was damaged somehow. These two things are not noticeable from more than a foot away, doesn’t affect overal aesthetic or compromise structure, so I still gave 5 stars. This size and quality of tank would be no less than double or triple the price anywhere else, so I’ll take a couple scrapes np!

I needed new enclosures for my ball pythons after my cat managed to punch through the screen top of the glass exo-t enclosure. The EcoFlex enclosures turned out to be a surprisingly inexpensive well built option. They are very easy to assemble and being plastic are impervious to water, but care must be taken to not over-tighten the screws as you can snap the threads out of the mounting holes. As with all PVC enclosures, you do need to run a bead of silicone around the seams to make them leak proof. They are light weight and extremely easy to clean/sanitize. The screen top is well secured and can support a 14 lbs. Ragdoll cat with minimal bowing but best to keep your kitties off it if possible because the mesh is only secured with a handful of small staples. When the glass door lock is in place there is no way for your pets to escape. Heating them enclosure is easy with a 50-80W deep heat projector and lighting with those smaller aquarium LED from that NICE company. This combo easily maintains temps and supports live tropical plants.

They are very sturdy when not stacked but the tops will bow when using the riser designed for them. New Age Pet should re-design the riser to fit around the outside edge of these enclosures so the weight is on the walls/corners and not in the center of the top. Because these have a large open screen top on them humidity management can be a challenge. I resorted to using clear vinyl and sealing off 2/3 of the screen to keep the humidity at around 60%.

Overall these are well worth the money and will last years but need a better riser if you plan to stack them. That’s the only reason I gave 4/5 stars on the enclosure because it should be able to handle the weight of a seconds one with how they designed it.

Smaller then I expected and for the price

I purchased this ecoflex enclosure for my leopard gecko, because I wanted a larger enclosure for her that wasn’t too heavy. This vivarium met both of those criteria and looks really nice. I have already purchased a second one for one of my other geckos but still need to assemble it.
Pluses: lightweight for its size but not flimsy, compatible with various heat sources, three sides are opaque, which keeps it dark– allowing for lots of options when creating hides, pretty easy to assemble (I did it by myself in less than an hour), and it’s esthetically pleasing. Because the price is reasonable, I’ll be able to purchase 1 for each of my Leos (4 all together). I think my “gecko room” will look much nicer and more cohesive once they’re all in the same type of enclosure.
Cons: I wish there were some larger holes to feed wires through, but I was able to get my wires through the slats. I can’t imagine it would be too hard to drill holes or widen the slats if necessary.
