We experienced rust very quickly. ZWILLING was quick to send a replacement. The replacement also started to rust.
We’ve had the exact same issue with the non-glass version of this kettle too.
There is clearly some major design flaw with the metal used for the ZWILLING kettles.
It is frankly ridiculous, as everything else about the product is excellent.

Looks nice and works mostly as intended.
I didn’t like the fact that after being inactive for an hour or so it goes to sleep. After this you need to press a power button for two seconds for it to wake up. I boil tea many times per day so prefer to not have remember about an extra long press. Unfortunately, no way to disable this.
Also filling the kettle is a bit less convenient since need to take off the lid manually.

This kettle is sleek and FAST. I’m an avid tea drinker – multiple times during the day, and this fits my needs.
On the down side though I’ve roughly had it for a month and I can already see it rusting at the bottom. It’s a shame because for the price I’d expect better.

This is a good looking kettle with temperature controls and a 30 minute keep warm function. The advertised tea steep timer on mine does not work at all. This was sold in Canada yet the temperature settings and readouts are in Fahrenheit, a system Canada stopped using decades ago. You cannot change the units. The manutufacturers web site shows the kettle as being 1850 watts but it is indeed only 1500 watts as per the Amazon description. A high end kettle should be, and is faster with 1800 or 1850 watts. The higher wattage would save minustes a dayt, but several hours a year. Most outlets wired in the past 50 years can handle 1800 watts, which gives a much faster boil. I would assume this higher end kettle is used in new homes or homes with updated wiring. The photos show a rack for pulling out a baby bottle, but this is not included. Not a bad kettle, but it does not live up to the advertising.

Great kettle, but the photos show celsius settings. This kettle ONLY HAS fahrenheit settings. The settings cannot be changed.

The kettle looks nice and this is only one good thing about it …
Returned for few reasons:
1. The kettle had temperatures in Fahrenheit , but it was pictured in Celsius, you cannot change it
2. Bought new, the received item looked like already used, the kettle had small rust spot inside. Returned
3. I would say kettle operation is not user friendly, for example, we would not able to figure out how to set the temperature manually not from the presets

The lid kept falling inside the kettle every time we needed to add water. Two days ago the lid fell inside the kettle and broke the glass.
