This works very well for chopping, mixing, etc. I am a bit disappointed that the “processor” container has no opening in the lid where items can be added (for making mayonnaise and sauces). It struggles with nut butter too, taking forever. It seems to have enough power but the design is not up to the task (the spiral blade does not work as well as the original blade and 24 oz container for nut butter). Another small problem is that the large 72-oz container lid leaks when the contents are splashed up to the lid when it is mixing. It handles smoothies with no problem, making smoothies that you can eat with a spoon. It makes nut milk without a problem too. Overall I’m happy with it (except for the nut butter problem).

I love my new blender so much! It works so much better than any others I have owned and you just pull the blade out of it and it washes up so easily! The blades are SHARP so my kids use the individual cup with the screw on blender attachment instead when making their smoothies. The only thing I don’t like about this blender is that you can’t get a 32 oz smoothie cup attachment and the 16 oz ones don’t hold all the things I like in my smoothie unless I blend it twice and add the second ingredients after blending my greens.

I ordered the BL770 Mega System even though I already owned a Ninja blender because I wanted the food processor bowl and this system does have a much more powerful motor. However the lid that came with this version of the food processing bowl does not have a drizzle hole for adding liquid to the mix while it is being created. This is used for adding oil to pesto, for example. The product manual and the online manual both reference the “drizzle hole” but it was not present in my machine. The more expensive system does have the drizzle hole in the lid, though I can’t see any other difference. In addition, the motor base has four selector buttons that LOOK like they have small holes to indicate which is selected but these do not light up.
The machine seems very well made and my first effort mixing pico de gallo came out OK.
I have to say that the Ninja telephone support was spectacular. They are shipping me a lid with the hole and the assistant was knowledgeable, friendly, and was on the line in about 15 seconds.

I really wanted a blender to make smoothies, and I’ve always wanted a food processor. This machine packs a real punch. Your smoothies will be blended in seconds, and the food processor works perfectly. I will never chop garlic by hand again! I can’t wait to use the dough hook!!! Worth the money!

My NutriBullet finally died after 11 years and it was a good run while it lasted, but I wanted an upgrade and already had a Ninja coffee maker which I love so I got the blender. A little loud but that doesn’t make me love it less. It blends like a champ and I look forward to using all the attachments. It so far this gets four stars. I would definitely recommend.
