Definitely brighter than I expected, the flashing patterns of the lights is cool especially rear light. Battery life seems great, I don’t ride for 6hrs to find out if they actually last that long. YOU WILL BE SEEN! Easy install, you might need a rubber spacer depending if your bar is small. Never had better lights before.

I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of these bike lights, especially considering the price. The front headlight feels solid and premium, with a mix of aluminum, plastic, and rubber that’s much sturdier than I expected – very impressed. On the other hand, the rear light is more standard in its all-plastic lite construction, but it’s perfectly functional with nothing major to criticize. That said, the front beam is fairly focused with very little spread, which may be less than optimal depending on where you are biking.

    More details:
Performance – Both lights perform well and are bright enough for general biking needs. The front light has a focused beam, which makes it great for being visible to oncoming traffic, but not ideal for seeing your surroundings while biking in the dark. It lights up the road directly ahead quite well but doesn’t provide much illumination to the sides or directly in front of the bike (to see joggers and pot holes) This is typical for many bike headlights, which tend to prioritize visibility over lighting up the path ahead. If you need a broader flood light for better night visibility on bike paths or dark roads, this might not fully meet your needs, but vast majority of bike lights won’t either.

That said, for general biking where your goal is to be seen rather than to see, the front light works as expected. I’ve used it on dark city pathways, but the narrow beam made it tricky to spot joggers in black, and other bikers (with no lights approaching me quickly) in low light. Again, this is more a limitation of bike lights in general, not just this model. I’m happy with it overall but may add a floodlight for better side illumination when needed.

Rear Light – The rear light is a standout for safety. It’s bright, with several modes including red and white strobing that’s very attention-grabbing. It’s great for nighttime visibility and gives peace of mind that cars or other bikers will see you from behind.

Installation was quick and simple with the rubber straps, which fit securely and don’t slip during rides. Both lights are compact and lightweight, with the front headlight having a nice aluminum body that feels durable, and easily accommodates different size tubing with the rubber strap. The rear light, while plastic, still feels reliable and does the job, though it doesn’t fit as securely as the front light.

Battery Life – Battery life is as expected about 3-4 hours on high, and it charges via USB-C, which is convenient. A full charge takes about 2-3 hours. The rear light lasts a bit longer, but i haven’t timed how long.

Final Thoughts Overall, I’m impressed with this bike light combo – the unboxing experience was really good, and the front headlight had a premium feel to it. The focused beam on the front is a limitation if you need more widespread visibility (for your vision, not theirs), but for basic road riding and safety, this set performs well, and also has a strobe effect to stand out even more. If you’re biking on poorly lit paths or need to see a wider area, consider pairing it with a flood light. For the price, it’s hard to beat, but if you need extended brightness and broader light coverage, you might want to look at higher-end models.

This is exactly what I needed for my bike, and they are perfect as they are very bight. I use them both day and night throughout the city I live in. Everywhere is lit up with street lights, however the important thing for me is just been seen by other traffic and pedestrians, even throughout the day on a cloudy day.

The front light is super bright and has 3 brightnesses and a flash mode. It has two additional modes which are the light and two flashing orange lights either side. Although I’m confused by the flashing orange lights as the main light is so bright you wouldn’t be able to see them anyway.

The back light has different settings too, either constant red, flashing red, or it can even be white or flashing between white and red.

The other thing I love about both of these is the way they attach to your back. The tubber raps around and attaches in on itself, making them super easy to remove for charging, and also to easily take off when you lock it up somewhere, so no one takes your lights (which happens alot in the city).

    I’d highly recommend.

So, first off I would like to say as the review states, this is literally the best late I’ve ever owned for my bike, or in general. It is very bright, I really appreciate the different settings, especially the last one that has a constant light but too small amber lights that flash. Because I’m the type of cyclist that doesn’t to annoy the crap out of drivers with bright flashing, but still want to be seen.

I have used this light for about a month now on just a few bike rides, and I also take it with me when I walk my dog at night. It has proved excellent for both uses.

This is where the but in the title comes in…

Today, before going out on a walk with my dog, I had to take it off of my bike handlebars. So with this light you have to pull back on the rubber strap to release the hook that hooks into one of the holes kind of like a belt. I’ve done this maybe like 3 or 4 times since I’ve gotten the light as usually it stays on my bike, but occasionally I want to take it off if I need a light for walking my dog. Anyways, as I did this, the rubber tab on the end immediately snapped off.. now, the light stayed on my bike handlebars, But only because it was hooked on one of the last holes before it ripped.

It was really disappointing, because now it potentially means I cannot use it on my bike anymore. And I really like the light enough that I still want to use it, but I really don’t want to have to buy a whole other light just because of the rubber tab issue.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING: definitely do it, I have no regrets of buying it, I’m still going to plan to use it,

The BX-400 Night Provision headlight is seriously bright, especially given its size and weight. It’s solid and well-made, enclosed in an aluminum case. Easy to mount on handlebars, with an integrated rubbery strap that doesn’t (easily) come off and so won’t get lost. The light has 5 modes (plus off) that you click through using the large button on the top. The UI has no memory – it forgets which mode it was in when you turn it off. So if you prefer to ride with the headlight flashing, you have to turn it on by clicking four times to get to that mode. That’s a pain. Some other modern bike lights have memory as part of their UI.

A feature I’ve not seen before are a pair of amber LEDs on each side of the headlight. In 2 of the 5 modes, these will strobe, intended to increase your visibility at the sides. I’m not sure how effective these will be in real-life, but it’s an interesting design.

The rear light is particularly appealing. It has 7 modes, with various combinations of red, white, steady, flashing, & strobing. The alternating red-white strobe combo is very distinctive. There’s no OFF mode – to turn it off, you have to press and hold the button. But unlike the headlight, the taillight has memory. It remembers the last mode it was in, and when you next turn it on, it’s still in that mode. What a shame the headlight doesn’t have the same elegance in the UI design.

Like the headlight, the rear light has an integrated mounting strap that can’t get lost when you remove the light from your ride. But it doesn’t have a clip for easy attachment to clothing, backpack strap, etc.

All in all, quite a good value at $27 (present pricing).

The price was worth the tail light alone. It has many modes, including both red and white LED modes. I use the irregular flashing pattern, and it keeps a charge all week.

The head lamp is decent. For the past 2 months I use it up to 30 minutes a day on the highest beam setting (in freezing temperatures), and I charge it probably once or twice each week.

I’ve had better head lamps, but the tail light is legit. 5 stars for the value. Now, if it lasts a year I’ll consider this purchase a success!

I put this on my schwinn Boundary and gives good horizontal light and is easy to adjust the rubber strap keeps the light in position . And it is rechargeable which is great and saves money on batteries. update , i have had this for over a year now and the front light is perfect however the rear light is a pain in the ass to plug in whoever thought of this charge port in the rear should be put up against the wall and shot because i can’t see what i am doing i have to put the cord underneath bike rack to get to it and then i don’t know which way the charger port faces .if this was a c port it would be much better or even have the port fasen the outside make it easier to get to

Reason for a three star is two fold. I wrote to them and no response and the back light failed in light rain. The front light is great value but again, I cannot use in rain, to much risk. But good otherwise. But the back light failed and is a complete waste of money.
