I purchased a blood pressure monitoring unit at the request of my doctor to more fully understand my personal blood pressure scenarios. I am a diabetic, so most of the treatments, medications and philosophies of care that I follow are preventive in nature. Heart disease and associated risks are a fact of life for diabetics. This model was one of a number recommended for home use.

I use the product multiple times daily and nightly to check my blood pressure. I want to build up a substantial history of my personal readings over time to better understand when risks are greatest during the day/night.

Features that particularly give me satisfaction are the averaging of results over many weeks, separate for both daytime and nighttime; dual recording of results (I can let my spouse monitor her BP without interfering with my results); large number of capture files (100 for each person; ability to record third person BP without contaminating any stored results; ease of use (although the cuff placement seems finicky sometimes if not done exactly properly, I guess this is better in the long run for accuracy of results); large screen and characters; simple instructions and error codes; dual power source (battery and AC adapter that came with the machine).
I have used pharmacy-based machines before as well as the facilities at my doctor’s offices. This machine provides me with immediate and accurate results anytime I wish. I even took it with me on vacation and, because of the battery feature, could take a reading during long drives without stopping.
Overall a most excellent tool. I highly recommend this model and manufacturer.

I purchased this new blood pressure monitor when my old monitor failed to hold pressure. This model is an excellent and affordable upgrade. First, you can track the readings of two people by toggling between user A and user B. It will also track your morning and evening readings and give you the averages separately.

The machine checks itself for proper calibration, and checks the user for irregular heartbeat as well as counting their pulse. And it will warn you of hypertension if your readings are above the normal range.

The display of its readings is easy to read and clearly marked as to what it is you are reading. I like the darker contrast coloring so the backlit numbers really stand out
I particularly like the True Read feature. The machine will take three measurements with a minute pause between each reading and then average them to give you a more accurate reading.

The cuff that came with this model is designed for regular and larger arms and is easy to put on. The device also checks to make sure you have the cuff on correctly and signals you if it is correct or not.

I have been using OMRON blood pressure monitors for years and this is the best one yet.

Been using this for a few days this week.
    1) It is very easy to setup.
    2) It is somewhat easy to use (see below).
    3) It seems accurate. I will report back after my doctor’s visit in December when I will see if it is calibrated.
    4) The number of features far exceed my expectation for the money. Meaning it gives me more value than the money I paid for it.
    5) Nice design. Easy to read. LARGE numbers for us blind people (I’m not blind but very near sighted).
    6) It keeps readings for two people, AND if you want to use for someone else there is a guest mode. The guest mode doesn’t save the reading.
    7) EXCELLENT FEEDBACK from the machine when it doesn’t like something: Cuff not snug, You’re moving, etc…
    8) A Three reading mode can be set so that you can take three consecutive readings and average them. The machine will wait a user-settable number of seconds and automatically countdown, then re-inflate the cuff.
    9) This is an UPPER ARM device which all the articles say will be more accurate.
    10) Fits my 17″ upper arm as well as my 10 yr old’s arm. Not sure how they did it, but YES THEY DID. Kudos to Omron Designers.
    11) Comes with a power cord. However, it can also run off of “AA” batteries. How cool is that.

Putting the cuff on is a little hard. Not impossible, but it takes a little to get it “snug” like they want. Anyway, on the three reading average one might want to hold it in place as it deflates. I try not to move, but I when I didn’t lightly hold it in place, it must’ve moved and the third reading said the cuff wasn’t OK.

At this point I highly recommend this unit. No problems whatsoever.
