This air fryer has a ton of features and possibilities that you can make use of. For a beginner, it might not make too much sense if you just want something simple. If you want something higher end though this is a great choice. There’s two zones that you can cook things in separately and you can also remove the separator and have a nice big space for larger items. There’s also some trays and racks which give you more options when cooking. It’s very solidly built and quite large. This is probably not something you would want if you have a small space but if space is not an obstacle and this is great. With all the features it could definitely serve as a primary cooking appliance and make others obsolete.

Marketing this as an air fryer is a mistake. It’s an oven. More than a toaster oven, but not an air fryer. That is probably the worst feature it had. And baking isn’t must better. The baskets for air frying are deep, perhaps too deep for the air to really circulate. Since you can only air fry in the smaller halves, there’s not much space. I have an air fryer that I love. I use it multiple times a week. I rarely use the air fryer feature on this oven. I lug my other on and off the counter to use it since this oven take up a lot of counter space.
The bake and roast features aren’t much better than the air fryer. Although you can use the whole oven and not just the halves. It cooks hotter at the back of the oven. You have to rotate the tray throughout the cooking cycle. And it takes longer than my conventional oven.
I do like the grill, reheat and turbo crisp features. And those are the reason I chose 3 instead of 2 stars. I’ve cooked many a burger in it with the grill feature. My husband swears they taste like they were cooked outside on the grill. And they are pretty tasty. Turbo crisp is fantastic for toasting the top of something. And it is turbo.
I also would have appreciated a better “cookbook”. The included times for cooking is not really helpful.
And another thing, it isn’t tall enough for a whole chicken. I constant feel like I’m trying to cook dinner in an easy bake oven.
There are better options for a multifunction oven than this one. And it pains me to say that.

When I purchased my first air fryer years ago, I bought a basket based one because that’s what was most readily available. I liked it just fine but ultimately ended up upgrading to an oven style flat bed one, because people kept saying it was better, etc.
After using ONLY that one for years I found that…even though the flat bed definitely had some pluses, I really missed the basket based one. It just did a lot of things BETTER – such as french fries etc. It’s just easier to “sift” them and make sure they are cooked all the way around and crispy.
That lead me to wonder…how come there isn’t one air fryer that can function as BOTH a flat/oven style AND a basket, so I don’t have to have two different fryers to make food the way I want…and have the best of both worlds??
Well…someone HAS made one – THIS one – and it’s absolutely EXCELLENT! Here’s why:
1. It is as nice, compact, modern design. The picture the listing currently shows the item to be blue…the description says “silver” but when this arrived, it was neither – it’s black. And that’s actually even BETTER, because it matches the other kitchen appliances this way. Score!
The fryer itself is a portrait style design so it’s built like a basket based fryer but with a wider footprint for oven/flat bed style use. It is STILL neatly designed nonetheless to not take up your whole counter, which was my biggest complaint about the oven/sheet style. (Even a flip up, which is what we have…it just looks weird sitting there flipped…if you have one, you know what I mean)
2. The uniqueness of this design is what makes this BRILLIANT – you do truly get the best of both worlds! You can use it as a basket based fryer with 2 baskets and 2 wire pans – mix and match depending on what you are making. Want to make something bigger, like a sheet pan dinner, which is IMHO one of the coolest things about air fryers in general? No problem! Just slide the divider in the middle OUT and VOILA! You have a flat cooking surface for your meal.
There are lots of air fryers these days that have dual baskets etc but no others that I know of which have this kind of flexibility where you can convert it from one style to the other in literally under 30 seconds. That alone makes this thing worth buying – it gives you like twelve different ways of cooking!!
3. It is super, SUPER easy to use. Intuitive touch controls that lets you do it ALL with a touch. Comes with great instructions too but you honestly don’t even need them.
4. So much versatility!! You can match and sync temperatures so your food cooks the same way and at the same time, or you can control the individual temperature of the chambers when they are divided. It’s like having 2 different mini ovens wrapped up in one! And you can not just air fry but ALSO crisp, roast, grill, bake, reheat and turbo crisp. No need for multiple appliances to do this…this one does just about everything!
5. The bottom has a neat tray that contains your crumb trays – they are SUPER easy to remove to clean and they give you 3 of them – two small, one large. Very convenient!
6. All of the accessories (including the removable handle for the baskets, which is gripped with nice soft silicone) can be stored IN the fryer itself, so no hunting for stuff when you need to use it. AND…all of the accessories are dishwasher safe!
7. Since it’s 11 qts you can definitely make larger things in here – even a whole chicken!
8. It’s an Oster. They have been making fantastic kitchen items for over a hundred years. That’s pretty much ’nuff said but this thing is WELL made. No cheap plastic…it even feels substantial and sturdy. I have no doubt we will be making perfect french fries in this thing for many years to come.
I didn’t think it was possible to be THIS excited about any kitchen appliance as I am about this air fryer. I feel like someone finally answered my plea to make something that gives you the best of both sheet pan/oven style fryers and basket style fryers.
This fryer might be a little more expensive than the typical one out there but…the quality MORE than supports the price tag and then some. It’s the only one you’ll ever have to buy. Makes a great gift, too…you will definitely become your mom’s favorite child if you give her one of these LOL.
I cannot recommend this air fryer enough. What an absolute home run from Oster!!

I have been using this for about a month now and I absolutely love this nifty air fryer. I’ve used it nearly everyday and have had no issues. It’s relatively easy to use even without instructions. The dual chambers allow for two different food types and it works out well. Both sides are cooked as they should be. The digital display is easy to ready and buttons are easy to push. This air fryer is exactly what I needed especially because it’s too hot to start the oven in the summer. I look up recipes online and am able to cook exactly as recommended. The different settings allow almost anything to be cooked with the large sized interior. There isn’t any mess outside the cooking bins and trays and even those wipe away easily as it is non-stick. I’m super happy with the way this operates and I hope it lasts for years. This is a great investment for any household and a great gift for anyone who likes to eat hot food without heating up the house.
