This item says 6 but you get one! The price is way over what it should be for a single gallon. Amazon nor provider have corrected this misleading Qty amount after being told many times it would seem, so people keep getting ripped off.

Misadvertised. This item said it came in a “pack of 6”. I only received one gallon. The way it was posted, I should have received six gallons. What is going on?

We have lots of dogs and they love the taste of antifreeze, but it will kill them. This eliminates that problem.

I used Sierra antifreeze/coolant for several years in my 65 Mustang. It is mildly built, and tends to run hot, especially on a hot day in So Cal freeway traffic, and tends to run through coolant/antifreeze, some by evaporation, some because the overflow bottle would overflow after I drove the car hard, and parked it prior to the car cooling down. We have dogs and cats, and I heard they love the taste of antifreeze, and the coolant/antifreeze could/will kill them if they drink it. Plus, the ethylene glycol is bad for the environment. So, when I found Sierra antifreeze, I started using it. It seemed that Sierra did at least as good a job as conventional (poisonous) ethylene glycol antifreeze, and is not poisonous, and is better for the environment.
I got pretty busy with work, the house, the kids, and things, and neglected maintenance on the cars for a few years, other than necessary maintenance like changing oil and plugs, etc. Gradually the Mustang ran hotter and hotter, and as a result used more coolant, so I kept adding coolant (50/50), and the car kept running hotter and hotter. I finally stopped to figure out what was going on with the car, and checked the concentration of the coolant. The car was distilling the coolant, with the result that the coolant was extremely concentrated, way more than 50% coolant. I drained out a lot of coolant, and replaced it with water to reduce the concentration, and the car ran a lot cooler. Note that Sierra’s description states “SIERRA Antifreeze is a propylene-based antifreeze that requires the use of a special ball tester to check its freezing point”. Well, I found out why. Of course, this would not have occurred had I not neglected maintenance, and thus it was my fault.
So, to summarize, Sierra seems to do at least as good a job as conventional (poisonous) ethylene glycol antifreeze, but it is not poisonous, and better for the environment. However, I recommend that one uses a ball tester to keep on top of the concentration, and one should not neglect maintenance. Overall, 5 stars.
