The birds love it no more birds hanging off side of cage, they climb to top of cage easily. For cockatiels and budgies

I bought a few of these for both of my birds (Cockatiel and parrotlet) and they love using them to walk up and down their cages. They also love chewing them but that’s besides the point lol and I love that there’s so many different sizes so they fit on various platforms that allow the birds to use them to get the different areas of their cage when they’re in their cage

I like these ladders because my parrots like them. They walk and perch on them, and they chew the wood until the ladders are just one stick with very short remnants of rungs sticking out.
The reason for three stars instead of four or five is that they could/should be thicker wood like the ones I bought locally before a homeless person burned down the store, but of course then the ladders would last longer and Penn-Plax wouldn’t sell as many replacements.
I’ll order a thicker ladder next time, if I can find one on Amazon.

We couldn’t find one at the pet store. This one worked out great. Good quality and well priced. Our green cheeked conure has it in his main cage.

They were well made ladders and these may do wonderfully for their intended purpose, however, we used these for our rats in their cage and they were able to chew through all the rungs and the sides within 2 days.

My ratties are more on the smaller scale and there are 3 of them but I was kind of amazed of how quickly they got through it all, was hoping that since these ladders were meant for bird cages that the wood would of been a little more on the hard side and lasted longer but oh well, you don’t have rats and expect to keep things for very long. Lol

Ladder is smaller than expected. Rungs are really tiny suitable for canary or finch more so than lovebirds or budgies.

delivered broken! The ladder is supposed to have two metal hooks at the top to hang it from a cage, but one side of the ladder was broken and one hook was completely missing. I thought that it might have broken inside the package during transit, but the broken pieces were not even in the crappy plastic mailer that it was shipped in. Leading me to believe that this item was packaged broken from the manufacturer. Even if it wasn’t broken, it would not last very long. The item is just put together with cheap, flimsy wooden dowels and very poorly made.
