Love this bird feeder – it’s so cute! Exactly what I wanted.
Sharon Seiber –
Nice to be able to attach a suet cake to it. Easy filled and birds love it! All big pluses.
Amazon Kunde –

For $36 you would think this would be a decent bird feeder. I had it all of 2 weeks and the cable came loose from the staples holding it and it fell to the ground from about 5 feet and broke. It was full of seed which is now all over the ground. I guess the dogs ate the suet because it disappeared. The first time it barely rained the wood bowed up and it was all misshapen. So very incredibly disappointed. The whole point in a bird feeder is for it to be outside in nature…where the birds live lol. This one is not made for that and highly overpriced for the quality.
Edit: I was able to repair this feeder with my handy dandy staple gun. The roof had broken, but had not fallen completely apart. I was able to “suture” it back together with staples. After I got it all back together I wished I had painted the roof as some of the paint chipped off when it fell. Oh well. Maybe I will at some point.
I reinforced the “fence” with many staples all along the bottom and sides. Upon further inspection, the plastic coating on the wire that it hangs from is actually what gave way, the wire slipped out, leaving a small portion of the plastic coating still held by the original staples, causing the feeder to fall. I reinforced both sides where the wire attaches with additional staples.
There was a large crack running about 3/4 of the length of the bottom board which I was also able to suture back together. A few of the staples didn’t go in all the way and I attempted to hammer them in, but the feeder seems too fragile to do any hammering on it. It’s not beautiful, but I guess the birds don’t mind because they have been back.
The Steller’s Jays have been busy gathering peanuts from it and if I had to guess, they may be the reason it fell as they are pretty large birds. I did NOT fill it to max capacity this time, only about halfway to reduce its total weight. Hopefully that helps.
I’m still disappointed, maybe I got a lemon, I feel like I shouldnt have had to repair it only 2 weeks into having it up, but it is back up and will hopefully last the rest of the season with all the reinforcement I did. I hate giving things such a low rating but for the price I paid, I feel like it should have been built much better than it was 🙁
Update #2:
I’ve uploaded a video of my Steller’s Jays eating from the feeder. They are pretty large birds and I’m fairly certain that their weight and perhaps some manufacturing issues (the staples they used aren’t very heavy duty) are what caused the feeder to fall. I have upgraded my rating from 1 star to 2 stars because since I repaired the feeder with my staple gun it has held up pretty well to the jays and the weather. It’s still usable and I guess that’s what counts.

Donald Schutt –
Already broke. Not sturdy enough.
Client d’Amazon –
Rheanna –
This fell apart the first time we used it.
Ashley Brown –
Fell apart and water logged. Roof fell apart today & I lost all my food on the ground.
