Kept the squirrels off. They tried a couple of times, fell, but then gave up. Also keeps the food dry when it’s raining. Had to take them down when it was windy as they rattle round a lot.

I have had one of these on top of my bird feeder for 3 years. But a recent incedent cracked it and looking to replace it reminded me it was advertised for preventing squirrels. Nope. They will get around it.
I have a 7′ shepherd’s hook with a hanging 2 tiered seed feeder. Put the dome over the feeder, and they pesky critters found their way areound it. Putting a cone on the staff at the level just below the bottom of the feeder solved the squirrel issue. But the birds seem to like the additional shielding the cover provides, and it helps keep the seed dry especially the upper tier.
I recently leaned a guerilla cart against my privacy fence, and it was just close enough that the squirrels used it as a launching pad to get above the cone. Found them hanging over the dome and helping themselves to the feeder. They usually settle for spillage. Didn’t put 2 and 2 together for a day or two, so the acrobatics had cracked the dome before I moved the cart.
Anyway… I am replacing the dome. I think it’s great. But not for keeping out squirrels.

Employed over a suspended feeder, it is effective, very effective…including as a means of some protection from the rain.
But some find its tipping function leaves it prey to the wind and, so – to those people – it is unsatisfactory.
For those people, then, my utterly successful remedy was to reverse the fitting in the dome…turn the whole hooks’ apparatus upside down, then to GENTLY insert the wide part into the domes’ aperture. This can be safely done, and pushed right home, giving a firm fit. Thus, it no longer tips and the wind is no longer a problem, it helps protect from the rain, and the squirrels are incapable of getting past it, they just slide off it. Those very few that really try, FAIL, for the whole feeder and baffle/ dome sway to one side and the squirrel topples off immediately.
That is my remedy for those people who, unlike myself, do not find it satisfactory.
Myself, as I stated at the beginning, know it to be very effective indeed in its regular assembly, so definitely recommended.

Estaba bien empaquetado, resistente y muy util
Justo el espantador de ardillas que necesitaba. Es una pena que no vendais el grande (20′) para España

This baffle, used in conjunction with an X Squirrel X1 four port feeder with metal latches is the ONLY combination I have found that defeats my squirrels (they even got on an earlier version of this feeder before I got this particular baffle and BROKE THE PLASTIC LATCHES to get into the feeder from the top when they found it was weighted to close its ports if they got on the perches). This baffle now keeps them off the feeder completely. The only improvement I might suggest would be an even bigger 18” or 20” baffle so the squirrels can’t hang onto the hanging hook at all so they don’t even try to get around the baffle (though this one’s big enough to prevent most all attempts).

I was amazed and didn’t expect much because of the mixed reviews. Like many of those of you searching for this kind of item, we’re all having squirrel to birdfeeder problems and it’s probably not your first attempt at trying to solve this stumper. I tried several methods but this one did the trick for me. With this baffle the squirrels have practically given up and mostly hang out underneath waiting for the pickier birds to flick the excess seeds to the ground. Every once in a while a squirrel will still come around and make the perilous attempt only to slide off and onto the ground below. One thing that I notice after a month or so is that the hooks come unscrewed and need to be retightened. Just keep an eye on it and check it form time to time as the wind and the bigger birds will make it spin a little bit. For the price you can’t lose. This item is for everyone who doesn’t have a really heavy or super-precious bird feeder. It works great. Just keep in mind that all the other safeguards have to be in place before this nice economical item can be effective. As you know, squirrels are clever, spunky, strong, and willing to take dangerous chances, so this item only cancels out one access. Keep trying and the squirrels will have to eat your birdseeds from the ground.

I got this squirrel baffle because they would eat all the bird seeds from the bird feeder. Since installing the squirrel baffle, I have not lost any more seeds to the squirrels. This is great for the birds, and great for my seed supply! I will be saving money in the long run.

This is the best squirrel repellent ever. It used to be cute to watch the squirrels come into my yard and scramble around, eat the peanuts I throw out for the Blue Jays until they started getting into my bird feeders. Since I put these on the tops of my feeders that hang from trees, the squirrel(s) tried to get to the bird seed. They couldn’t get close enough to hang and eat the seed and never tried again. Sometimes we sit and watch as the squirrels come and climb the tree my feeders hang from and stare at the seed but don’t bother to jump on the feeder anymore. They were knocking down my feeders, eating all the seed and making a mess. Now they just eat what the birds drop on the ground. Great idea and for the price you can’t do better!!! I have 3 now. Just wash them down once in awhile to clean off the bird droppings. Love them, recommend them for anyone who has squirrels who want bird seed!!

This is JUNK. My backyard squirrels figured out how to get around this in a little less than an hour. It is not big enough or deep enough, so they can out their weight on, slide to edge, and jump or grab onto the feeder.
In addition, the 2-piece screw hook comes undone after a few days of hanging. This meant that the feeder fell off the hook and baffle onto the ground. I put it back together, tightened it really good, and tried again. It fell the next day and this time my $15 feeder fell and broke. So not only did this product not work – it cost me $15 to try it, PLUS the trip to 2 stores to find a replacement feeder (I bought 2, so I have a back up now.)
Some years ago I got a squirrel baffle that worked for several years (and through all seasons!) – before the metal hook rotted away and it broke. Unfortunately the store that carried it no longer has them. So I am still looking.
But I cannot recommend this one unless you want to throw your money away on useless junk.

Great Product, i finally won the battle against those squirrel at my backyard with this product
You still to be far enough away from a tree that prevent them to jump to your bird feeder

I use these for two different reasons. One is to keep squirrels off my feeders. The other is to shield some of my feeders from the rain. Wet birdseed can become moldy, and that is not healthy for the birds. With the cost of shelless select birdseed that helps keep patios clean, adding this dome cover is a win-win situation. These are easy to install, and the fact that they are clear will allow birds to see their surroundings. Although not the reason I purchased these, but there was a hawk in my yard after a heavy snowstorm looking for a small bird for dinner. A chickadee was hiding under the dome until the hawk left. The dome let the chickadee live to see another day.
