Highly recommended. But initially, I wasn’t impressed with this harness because this it looks flimsy; at least compared to our previous kitten harness which was more of a vest style. But that harness was restrictive so I decided to try this. We’ve been using it for about a year now and I’m very pleased. My cat hates collars and was not a fan of his last harness but he doesn’t mind/notice this harness at all- there are no issues with him trying to get out of it. The trickiest bit with this harness is getting it on correctly because it’s not very intuitive. But in my experience as long as it’s on correctly it’s very secure. Highly recommended.

I am so happy I found one that did not restrict my cats shoulder movement. I could tell he was uncomfortable and couldn’t move his arms properly in all the other ones we tried (I purchased those for $25 at pet store 3 others). The harnesses line between the neck and belly would cut across his shoulders. As far as the stretch there is not much in the harness which I don’t want, it is adjustable in all the right places and he has not escaped it. The leash does stretch enough to give him an idea to stop without hurting him. My advise while using it is to always follow your pet by staying behind because pulling from the front with the when his arms come together and out or up it will come clean off!! I don’t know of one that won’t do this…. I tell my girls do not let him learn that secret because he won’t forget it!

I bought the Come With Me Kitty harness and leash size M for my ragdoll kitten. He weighted 2.5 kg when we first started using it; he’s now almost 5 kg, and the harness still fits him perfectly, I just adjust the belly straps as needed. He first wore the harness in the house 5 times over a couple of days, starting with just 30 seconds up to 2 minutes (he did that ‘suddenly paralysed, can’t use my legs’ thing cats do at first, but quickly got used to it), then he was allowed into the garden and he loved it! I’ve never had problems putting the harness on him, and now he’ll come and ask for it himself when he wants to go in the garden. 🙂
Very secure; he has never escaped even though the harness is quite loose on him because of all his fur. I did switch the 1 m bungee line for a 10 m lead to let him explore while I relax. 🙂

This harness is great. My car is not bothered by it the way he was in others. It’s pretty impossible for them to slip out of it too, since as they pull on it, it tightens. It’s so easy to get on and off as well. If you’re unsure about which harness to try, I highly suggest this one!

We bought this for our outdoor cat who survived a run in with a car, but ended up with a broken leg. While his leg was healing in the brace, he was still quite interested in going outside during the sunny days, so we figured we could give him some time outside while still ensuring he is safe. Let’s just say he wasn’t a big fan of the harness, but he realized he could get some outside time so he put up with it. It also worked well for visits to the vet where he no longer easily fit in his small cat carrier. Using the harness and leash we can take him the car and in to the vet securely.
My only complaint is that you really have to ensure the harness is properly fitted. I bought the medium for my 12 pound cat and it sure seemed snug on him, but coming home from the vet one day, he managed to squirm out of my arms and broke free from the harness as he fell. Fortunately he wasn’t interested in running away and he was unhurt. I have since adjusted the harness to so the under belly portion is further up the neck, but there haven’t been many sunny days to enjoy outside. I am happy with the purchase and its intended function works well, just be sure to slide the adjustable harness sections appropriately, even if it already seems tight. My cat still doesn’t enjoy the harness at all. Every time I put it on (he will let me), he ends up walking slowly backward as if he might escape it. It is slightly comical and slightly sad. He eventually settles in, but I rarely leave it on more than a few minutes based on his disposition. He is now almost fully healed and we are not intended to let him be an outdoor cat anymore anyway.

My smart cat managed to bite the lock to unlock it. As he’s a cat, he can reach his back quite easily. While harnessed, he turned his head to his back, bit the small, black fasten/lock, and unlocked it to release himself from the harness.
He likes going outdoors but hates harnesses. And, if not completely taken in by the excitement of the great outdoors, will do anything to remove the harness from him. I was contemplating tying him to a tree with this harness but I realised, if I’m not looking, he’d be gone in seconds.
Also, he likes pushing forward to explore further frontiers. As I want to pace his exploration to discourage bolting to the streets and other undesirable elements (skunks, unfriendly dogs, etc), I have to hold the leash firmly at all times. This has led to him coughing/choking himself as the harness’ front gets extremely snug, pulling the chest loop tightly, when he quickly bolts away from me. My kitty likes pushing his boundaries.

Wasn’t sure how much success I’d have harness training a 4-year old Bengal cat, but she has taken to this without too much fuss.
It’s important to harness train cats in small steps to begin with…The cat will likely exhibit unusual behaviour at first, such as flopping on the ground or crawling on the floor or reversing in an effort to escape it, so make introductions short to begin with, no more than 5 minutes first time then all going well keep trying it each day gradually increasing the duration each time, making sure it’s properly fastened and secure but allowing enough space to get two fingers under it so it’s not too tight. The trick is to persevere and encourage the cat with treats and lots of petting and reassurance each time and try to engage them in play so that they develop a positive association with it.
Within just a few days my cat was allowing me to put the harness on her without any fuss. After leaving the harness on her about an hour (during which time she mopped around in an apparent huff) I decided it was time to put the leash on her and take her into the garden. Once she had the outdoors to explore, along with me for security and reassurance, she took to it well and didnt try to escape. I have to say the leash that comes with the harness is also excellent, since the bungee prevents too much jarring or risk of injury if she bolts. A couple of times she did want to run, but mostly out of joy from having all the space to explore. The bungee leash was perfect for that, and once she’s used to it, I will maybe switch to an extending chord leash to allow her to range a bit further while still staying safe.
I’m confident after a few days training that I can now take her further afield and go on trips into the countryside without her freaking out and/or trying to escape. I was given the advice that tying a knot into the part of the harness where it fastens to a leash can help make it more difficult for the cat to escape, but I haven’t found that I needed to do that.
While this harness can be tricky to put on, requiring that it goes over the head then fastening on two sides, it is very secure once in position and adjusted to the right size for your cat. It should also be quicker to get used to than say a jacket harness, which may be easier to put on, but is also more restrictive. I’d previously tried a ‘Voyager Step-In’ jacket harness actually meant for small dogs, and she didnt take to it very well, freezing and flopping over almost as if she was having a seizure. I may work up to the jacket harness for certain outdoor conditions (winter for example), but the ‘Come To Me Kitty’ harness seems to be doing the job just fine, and compared to a jacket harness, it should quickly feel to the cat like it’s not even there.
Overall very happy with my purchase, and the cat seems happy too now that it’s opened up a whole new world of outdoor adventures for her.

I like that it doesn’t come out and doesn’t bother my cat and that it’s almost invisible on her furry coat. I don’t like that I didn’t find it sooner. I wasted too much money on others and time not exploring outside with my cat.
