I thought a Phillips battery operated sonic toothbrush would be effective, as I love the rather heavy Phillips rechargeable Sonicare products I’ve used for years. Unfortunately, after a 3-day trip using the battery-powered toothbrush, my teeth are no cleaner than they would be with a manual toothbrush. A manual toothbrush is much lighter, so that’s what I’m going to travel with when the heavier but effective Sonicare cannot be used.

Our original Sonicare has lasted us for longer than it’s life expectancy. We bought two… back in 2015 and one of them is still working 100%. The other, died. So we decided to get this newer Sonicare ONE model, because it looked cool with the colors.. and not having to lug a charging unit around sounded awesome.
Problem is… the brush head bristles are SOFT as a childs brush.. and the vibrations are much less intense.. so the overall feeling of CLEANLINESS is gone.
I went direct to Philips’ website.. told them my thoughts.. and they confirmed that there is no other FIRMER BRUSH HEAD offered for this model… and offered me a 25% discount which I used to purchase a TRUE Sonicare again.
Will keep this Sonicare One as a “gum brusher”, which is all it’s really good for with it’s soft bristles and lower power.
If you’re looking for that same SONICARE CLEAN FEELING… skip this model, beautiful and convenient for travel as it may be… for it will NOT give you that feeling.

Beautiful (mine is yellow) with soft bristles and comes in a nice carrying case. I wanted electric toothbrush for travel and even though it is not like the one I have at home, it sufficed and it did not bend or break and worked every time. I think kids might like it because of the timer and colors. I recommend it.

El sonicare one es un muy buen elemento para comenzar en el mundo de los cepillos eléctricos. Da un masaje suave, es ergonómico, funciona con una pila y sus puntas son intercambiables, también cuenta con un practico estuche para guardarlo, todo a un precio bastante contenido, sin embargo hasta ahí, no esperes maravillas, tiene poca potencia, no es ajustable, no tiene diferentes modos de cepillado ni nada, un solo botón para encender y apagar, es todo, pero la verdad cumple con lo básico.

Pro: convenient for traveling Cons: the process of changing the battery is annoying. once you get it open, its not a guarantee the new battery will even work. and then good luck trying to open it again because sometimes it can just get stuck
do not buy. stick with rechargeable toothbrushes

I have been using this toothbrush for almost a year now, and I love it. It was recommended to me by my dentist because it is an affordable electric toothbrush and even has a two minute timer with 30 second intervals in between for ease of cleaning. Perfect for at home and traveling. Battery is still going strong for over 6 months! It does the job well, so I bought another one for a friend!

I purchased 2 of these sonic. one for me and one for my husband. We love it for travelling. 6 months later mind stop working. I was not happy. I try to chat with sonic customer service link from Amazon. A few questions from him and I provided serial number. He is sending me a new one. The 5 rating for me. Tried the Sonicare Battery toothbrush three times and was displeased each time. The brush’s bristles are way too soft to be effective and the brush hardly even agitates enough to remove anything. It has since been deposited to the “circular file.” It’s convenient being compact and easy to pack for travel but in no way compares or can compete with my Sonicare Electric toothbrush; bulky but effective. Don’t waste your dollars on the battery model.
