Mifke547 –
I got my first clarinet when I was in the 4th grade. That was about 68 years ago. Back then, a Rico or Vandoren reed cost about 25 cents. Needless to say, they cost more today, but they are less expensive on a time value of money basis. I got these for my grandson, to whom I just gave my first clarinet. I got him #2 reeds and he was making pretty good sounds within 24 hours of picking the clarinet up for the first time. That is a measure of the quality of the reeds. Great value and fine quality.
Sandra Snow –
I picked these for the fact they were individually wrapped and they in fact were not.
Randa –
I bought these for my 10 year old who just started band this year. I bought these since he went through his others I had bought at the music store. I saw there was 10 versus 3. So far he really likes these. More bang for your buck.
Daniel Butler –
Bought these for my beginner clarinet player and they work very well. Price is right.
Erik Drinkard –

My daughter is in the middle school band, this is a great part of reeds! For one allows the future musician to have backups in case one is damaged!!

Unfortunately we had to return these. Yes they are cheaper and yes they may work, or half of them may work, BUT the sound is way off which for a beginner is very frustrating. My daughter is playing my clarinet for her first year and I got these cause they were cheaper. You get what you pay for. We just tried each one and she and I (I have played since my 3rd grade year and am now 42) could only get a sound on half, if even, of them. The sound was WAY off, I’m talking several octaves away from what the note should be. We even got a tuner thinking, hey maybe we are just off, NOPE tuner says the same thing we are, way off. We tried each one and then tried some of our RICO reeds we had left, BIG difference in sound quality and ability to make sound. Save yourself the frustration, spend the extra money and get RICO’s or similar.
