Tuner is more sized to viola than 4/4 violin, even with adjustable slide. Will be replacing it soon with a proper violin tuner.

I leave mine on my main violin all the time. I only take it off to install a new battery. It’s is convenient and unobtrusive on the instrument and adds little appreciable weight.

Tuner it self seems great but description shows it to be compatible with a violin but it is not. The clamp is to long and does not firm up against the violin chassis so it falls right off. I ended up removing the rubber boot from the “L” shaped piece and replacing with another soft material so it now firmly snugs the violin and won’t fall off.

This is a great idea but a poor design. The clamping surfaces are too far apart so it won’t lock down onto a violin which is really strange as they would only have to change the distance by 1/8” or even just 1/16”??? Strange out of a company that makes so many musical instrument accessories. I bought 2 and had to send them back sfter trying them on 4 different violins

メトロノームとかから出てくるＡの音を取って・・・とかしてた時代にはとても戻れない素晴らしい製品。どうしてもヴァイオリン用を流用になりがちなヴィオラに専用製品があるところも好感、というかヴィオラチューナーなんて唯一無二でしょ。いちど基準音（たとえば442Hz）を設定してしまえばその後は基準音操作ボタンを押すこともないので、手探りで電源を入れて音を出しさえすれば 何の音の 高め 低め がインジケータで表示されるだけ。他の楽器の音がうるさい環境でもほとんど関係なさそう。機能としては十分。
本体は思ったより小さくて（楽器正面から見たボタンのある面が3センチ前後×2.5センチ前後・演奏時に見える液晶面は2.5センチ×1センチ前後）あまり目立たないので本番以外ではつけっぱなし。気づいたら勝手にオフになってるので電源オフ操作はいらないのだと思います。ラバーのような素材によって楽器を挟む形でつけ外しも簡単ですが当方のつけっぱなしの環境では不意に落ちたりしたことはほとんどありません。
ヴァイオリン用はさまざまな機種があるのでしょうが、ヴィオリストならまず第一候補として検討していいのでは。

バイオリン用ではビオラに使えないというコメント見てビオラ用を購入、ビオラ(写真1,2)はもちろんバイオリン(写真4)にも問題なく装着できました。えっこんなに小さいの?しかも軽いというのが第一印象。音拾いの反応もとても良く驚きました。なかなかの優れものと思います。

Does not fit tight to violin even when collapsed all the way. It falls off easily. I purchased my full size violin new. It does tune well if it does not fall off of violin.

Package says “Viola Tuner” and in small print states “fits full size violins”. Incorrect. I have multiple full-size violins and it doesn’t come close to fitting any of them.
