I bought these for my daughter to keep their doors and windows not just for their safety of people coming in, but my grandson has learned how to open the doors so it will alert her if for some reason, somebody leaves the door unlocked. They are loud and a good quality

I bought a package of 4, and will be purchasing more. These are very loud, and function like I need them to — I have a son who elopes and he is such an escape artist that he figures locks out quickly. These provide another layer of protection so that I can take my eyes off him and function. Super easy to install and an overall great value for the money.

There’s enough wrong with this product that it really needs to be given a ‘0’ rating and be taken back to the drawing board. I needed a set of tiny alarms to fit on the glider edge of windows. This size worked but of the four pack, one unit did not work out of the box. The others are inconsistent in how they do work: One alarm sounds when the unit is less than precisely aligned, even 1/16″ of an inch movement sounds the alarm, another sounds when a bus or truck rumbles on the nearby road.
The self-stick adhesive is inferior too. Despite sterilizing the areas to be affixed, the pads are thick and causes the larger part of the alarm to move during temperature fluctuations, setting off the alarms.
Finally, the added cost of buying batteries suited for these units was a bit of a drain too. These size specific batteries are not a size I use regularly, so there’s another wasted cost.

I like that it is loud. It’s great for keeping track of escape artists like small children or the elderly with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia. For some reason, although it is loud downstairs, you can not hear it if you are upstairs. Strange, but still very effective. It’s easy to control with a small switch to activate it or deactivate it as needed. When activating it 2 audible small beeps will sound. Once activated the alarm will sound very loud until it is manually turned off. It’s nice that you can deactivate it when company is over then reactivate it as needed. Their adhesive to attach it is not very strong so I just use velcro tape. That works great to adhere them where ever you want with no worries of it falling off.
