With the overwhelming good reviews, I must have gotten the rare bunk item. Mine was dead within 15 uses. Shame, great features and form factor. In the end, I replaced this with a USB-C to HDMI converter cable and am fine with it.

Love this Docking Station… We have used 5 different setups for various reasons. The Plugable USB-C Cube is the easiest device to set up, start up and run. Also, the dock’s size is perfect if you need to conserve desk space. In summary, if you are driving only one external monitor, Buy This Device!

I like this little cube but I hate the blue light that is always on. It is bright and there is no need to highlight a docking station. It is a waste of electricity. The only way to turn it off is to disconnect from both the power cord and the laptop.

Fabulous little unit for providing a true desktop experience for a 13 inch HP Spectre 360. Very small footprint makes it a worthwhile addition to facilitate a full peripheral setup (24 inch monitor, epson photo scanner, fujitsu document scanner, multifunction printer). This is the second product i have had from Pluggable and both have worked great!

Works well with M1 chips, the usb-c lead is NOT interchangable. If you try to use a longer one it may not work.

I bought this mainly because my laptop, asus g14, doesn’t have an Ethernet port.
I have gigabit speed internet and with this hub I was only getting just over 300mbps. I switched back to my satechi dongle and I was getting 900mbps.
I’m not sure why that is and I tried two usb cords. The usb c cable it came with didn’t even let my laptop recognized that I had an Ethernet cable plugged in. I used a spare anker usb c cable I had and that only gave me the speeds up to 300mbps.

I have high spec HP ZBook, but, for some reason, when I plug HDMI monitor into the laptop and a simple USB hub (for mouse, keyboard & headset) – monitor stays black.
I tried several different hubs, and I figured out that my old “plugable”, when plugged into the specific USB port on laptop, my monitor “works”.
Using this dock – everything works well.
