For anyone who has a person they are caring for that cannot do for themselves, this lift is an absolute life saver. Used this in the hospital and bought one for home. I would recommend this to anyone who is caring for someone disabled.

My mom and I are taking care of my father who is in the last stages of dementia. Trying to lift him and move him to the bed, chair or bathroom, this sit to stand lift has been vintage only very helpful but a life saver for us and our backs. It’s not hard to assemble and takes maybe 20-30 minutes. It’s a simple design that just works. We have been recommending this to the home health agency that comes in and to our Community EMS. Fantastic product.

My brother is quite ill/weak. His wife is an octogenarian and I’m in a wheelchair … so we clearly had some trepidations about our ability to use this … but it’s so well made and straightforward to use. We’re caring for him at home and this has helped us immeasurably! (Bed to wheelchair and back again.) He feels safe and so do we! Thank you so much!

This was called a Sera Steady in the hospital. My Dad is 89, stroke victim, on Hospice… declining. This type of people mover was used at one of his hospital stays and it was so useful I started to hunt one up for home. The one in the hospital was too wide to get thru our bathroom doors (standard home doors) and it was $3000. I bought this one from Amazon and I will swear to you… it is as strong and useful as the $3000 version. More useful actually because low and behold it fits thru our standard doors right in the bathroom, right back to his lift chair, over to the bed etc… This gizmo (hand to my heart) has raised my Dads standard of living in these last days he has with us. It has made it possible, dare I say easy to get him to the table to have family dinners with us, up to play cards, up to get cleaned up. Wonderful product.

Safely gets your loved one up and into a standing position. Get the belt as well especially if they have trouble bending knees or are tall. Easy to put together. Well worth it for anyone who is mostly wheelchair bound but needs to move more but would usually need two person stand assist this makes it safer.

I am 70 female, was able to put it together myself except for one piece (fitting the handle section into the base as seen in pic #2 I needed help to finally fit those side parts together.) It is sturdy, heavy duty and easy to move around. The base widens with a lever to fit around chairs. All pieces nuts bolts washers were included. It comes with wrenches. The padding on the knee and seat areas are substantial. ( the seat sections move easily into place)

My wife still isn’t happy with this product, but I certainly am. It allows transfers in and out of bed, up and down on the pot, etc. to take place with satisfying safety. It is not an easy assembly – at least not for an old man like me. I’d have had no trouble with it in my youth. But once together it is very strong. I like this version of this item because the front leg height is only a 4.5″ and so fits nicely under my bed which has a 5″ clearance. It is not the easiest contraption to move around when occupied but its ok on open floor. I’d hate to have to use it on a carpet or on and off rugs. That said, I’m big on this device.
